I've just had a text message from the NHS informing me of today's whereabouts of the "Salford Vaccination Bus".
It's all fine and dandy, but Salford is a good 150 miles away and as far as I can remember I've never even been there. I've already had both of my jabs too
It's not the first message I've had from them concerning Salford and vaccinations either. What is it with Salford?
It's a mobile Jabbery, so perhaps it's in the Norfampton/Wellingborough/Kettering area today? It's all fine and dandy, but Salford is a good 150 miles away and as far as I can remember I've never even been there. I've already had both of my jabs too

Personally, I wouldn't fancy setting foot in Salford. It's full of ne'er do wells.
Especially those BBC types at Salford Quays.

They're probably after some good publicity from the BBC, keeping a high profile etc. Personally, I wouldn't fancy setting foot in Salford. It's full of ne'er do wells.

That's all for now - the wonder that is the M25 is calling....
'Ningall! Just got back from an early morning trip through the New Forest to Lymington in the mighty Up! (exclamation mark), which didn't suffer at all from being creatively parked the other evening.
It's all a bit gloomy today, what? It's like November out there, except there aren't any Easter eggs in the shops yet. However, it was an enjoyable trip, but once again I failed to break the 70mpg barrier according to the trip computer thingy. Which must be accurate, because it's a Volkswagen.
Does anybody know why Bobbers was hanging about outside my room? He had those blue gloves on as well. Nothing else, just the gloves. I think Matron should have a word with him. Maybe up the dosage a bit.

Hope it gets sorted Dibble. In a strange, almost masochistic way I'm almost looking forward to the day my Maserati throws a huge hissy fit. It will you know. Probably! In just a couple of days of ownership I've already realised just how wonderful and downright odd the Italian automotive engineer's mindset is, the build quality of the bodyshell is surprisingly good but the manner in which some of the components are fitted to it and the routing of all the wiring and pipework within is frankly mindboggling.....
The Bird's Nest Maserati. I'd know it anywhere.Magooagain said:

Today has been a busy day, a difficult job finished, a thank you from the machine shop manager for sorting out a problem yesterday, a program done by the chap I'm supposed to be training with a bit of help from me, another job picked up ready for tomorrow and a couple of other issues dealt with!!!

If you have an ancient, badly modified Vauxhall Corsa with a farty exhaust the size of a drainpipe, do not attempt to outdrag a three and a half litre Mercedes SportlichLeichtKurz along a clear dual carriageway, especially if it's being driven by an aggressive dwarf.
It really won't be the best day out you've ever had.
