Windy bike ride this morning. Was in wearing shorts and short sleeve top and it felt slightly chilly in places.

A few hours later it rained. Even more windy now.

South lincs.

North? hehe

Out again on the bicycle this morning. Shorts and shirt with gillet. I was underdressed. Got back home after a few hours feeling a bit chilly.

Autumn is definitely here. The air seems more dense and the wind has had more purpose over the last few days.

Darker mornings too.

Well, the high pressure keeps forming and sunspot activity is very low. Omens are currently good to excellent...
Just so we are on the same page. When you say the omens for winter are good to excellent, I am assume you mean cold, snowmageddon etc?

I love a good snow storm at the best times but early Jan next year I am hiking Pen y Fan for an event and minus temps, waist high snow drifts and the like will only add to the enjoyment. I do need it to wait till I am in the Beacons though

My memory of weather is a bit rubbish but I don't remember the 2015-2016 winter being particularly snowy frown

Humid and 24 degrees when I arrived in Lowestoft earlier this afternoon, though cloudy.
Now drizzling.

Rumours of a brief return to summer for the SE...

Remains of Helene and Joyce to have a big effect on our weather next week. Final tracks could mean bad storms or sucking up warmth like Ophelia last year.

Distinctly more chilly this morning. Annoying time of year. When you leave on the bike you don't know if shorts will be too cold or trousers too hot
