Interesting channel I've been watching on my lunch break- Fresh Out: Life after the Penitentiary

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veBIiDVZUxI&in...

Some really interesting stories in there. Interesting how many get out, bum around for a bit and then end up doing something that lands them back in. And so far I haven't come across one where the guy seems very concerned by the effects of his crime.

Fractured skull from that knee to the face, apparently.

I thought we'd progressed as a society from sports that usually rely on the person being injured so badly by the other 'player' they can't continue and lose.

Just looked it up guy has had his forehead crushed in. Big dent. Mutually agreed combat zero cares. This sort of injury is rare. Don't like it don't do it nobody forced them in the ring.

well the thing is there are multiple levels of participation. If people 'volunteer' to do it (in inverted commas because there are lots of things people who agree to do having been offered stloads of money, especially if they don't have other skills than kicking the st out of people) then other people will get jobs helping them train, promote their fights, sponsor things etc, and then lots of people will watch... it becomes normal to watch someone get the st literally kicked out of them on TV. How about a more extreme version? Yea with chainsaws. and Flame throwers. Pretty soon we're all unable to jerk off unless we're murdering someone. Presume that's a day you're looking forward to!!!

No, nothing like rugby at all. Injuries are a side-effect and not intentionally caused. Thenaim isn't to win a game of rugby when all your opponents are unconcious on the floor suffering potential brain damage.

This isnt bull fighting. Both participants are willing, also mental in my opinion, but willing nonetheless. Let them do what they want; they know the risks.
