Unfortunately the position of the high will slightly ruin things for the UK - it's centre is towards Scandinavia. This will bring in cloudy weather from the Atlantic, especially to northern parts of UK.
If this was in the winter, we'd be looking good for a 'beast from the East', eh GTIR?

Sorry, I've neglected my weather duties and turned my attention to the bungabunga party in Iceland Tuesday should be good still, however the signals are starting to show the weather will become more 'Atlantic' starting in the SW around Tuesday. So I'm going to call 80% chance of good weather in the SE on Tues

Atm up to Thursday weather looks dry according to the bbc any ideas on Saturday for south wales area really don't want rain for the first outing on track for my kit car as its hasn't got a roof.
Looks like things will be warming up in to this week, and the reason for any rain Thurs/Fri is unstable air masses - ie it will be heavy local downpours and thunder. If I get a chance I'll take a deeper look for Sat (I'm now in the US)

I also heard a pedantic argument on the radio that it's not an Indian summer because that is technically a warm spell occurring after the first frost. And there hasn't been a frost yet, although it nearly happened in August (wtf...)
The technical definition of an Indian summer is that it occurs after a frost, so Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
