I once bought a 5 ton petrol engined Wallis and Steevens Advance road roller.

I restored it, put it under a nice fitting tarpaulin over winter at my parents house, then found out that my Mum had put the tarp over her patio furniture. :/

It's sat rotting on their driveway for about 7 years now....

Anyone want to buy it?
This wins in my book! hehe

....and in an attempt to introduce a little levity in my postings on this subject, I also offer this - a collage of race tickets from Le Mans, Indianapolis, Sebring, Road Atlanta and more, dating from 1981 to today, entitled "My Wasted Life". I dare not attempt to calculate how much beer and murdered brain cells those scraps of paper represent.
Could I have done without those attendances? Would I have.....?

I won't, don't worry smile

I would have pics but my phone battery died. It is pretty unbelievable to see on full power, the beam is rather intense.

I'm tight beyond belief. I don't think I've ever bought anything that I didn't need, apart from the Sat Nav I bought for the wife,

Slightly off topic however here goes as it would have been frivolous.

My mum had an MG 6R4 sat in her garage at home for 12 months for some obscure reason. Just sat there doing nothing So we would start the thing weekly, run it up & down the road just t keep it ticking over, as you do, annoythe neighbours & park it back in the garage.

She was offered the chance to buy the thing for a ridiculously low amount of money. I wanted it, mum wanted it. The old man? He said it was just a Metro so it was a bag of st in his opinion.

So she didn't have a frivolous moment on something that she didn't really want.

Unfortunately.

Hardly frivolous though as it was an ex Tony Pond car in ComputerVision livery. Would have been worth £80/90k today I think had she bought it.

Bought a 2nd pair of Beats by Dre headphones because I liked the first pair so much...

Came to the realisation I can only wear one pair at a time.

I did not need this book. The normal 'Sled driver' would have sufficed... This is stunning though, larger and more photographs. and the signatures!
It's certainly a keeper for me.

Specs.

Not that I didn't need specs, I most assuredly do, but it's not as if anything more than the £25 range actually makes you see any better!

Camera lenses for me. I have at least 15 manual focus jobbed from eBay and other used dealers, most brought at good prices with the plan to sell them on for a profit. It's not going to plan at the moment.

I also have a petrol engined radio controlled plane in my garage. I wasted money on it about 4 years ago. Still haven't finished building it. One day...

Why buy 1 monitor when 4 will do?

I went shopping for an additional monitor to my old 3 monitor setup to make a 4 setup but realised they would all be different brands and not the same size.

Didn't like the thought of that so bought 4 brand new 23" LED monitors including the stand.

To top it all off, I bought 4 Monster HDMI cables. Now, I'm not 100% tech savvy but had read previously that high end HDMI cables are somewhat of a ripoff. So with that in mind, I buy the top of the line Monster cables!!!! ARGH!

I get home and realise my graphic cards only support 1 HDMI cable each, lol.

Apologies for pic quality, my iPhone has taken a beating.
