Good news for some posters on here - you can eat Skittles without making a pro LGBTQ+ statement for once.

Oh dead. See that's the problem.

Those of us who are against a corporate messing about on our phones, get lumped together with your 'not normal' type crowd.
Did I ever use the phrase ‘not normal’ to describe anyone? It’s a world away from using the phrase ‘normal’ to describe ordinary folk who do not attach any label to themselves.

So you just care that the colour of an app has been changed on your phone?

Also, OP, really. This is what you’re upset about?

If he were a powerfully built company director travelling regularly to the Arabian Gulf, or Africa, then yeah, he'd be right to be upset. The wrong person seeing that on your screen could be a very unfunny story.

That’s weird, why on Earth don’t you want Barclays to change their logo on your phone? What possible negative affect can it have on you?
It is puzzling, isn't it.
Its having no effect on me, I don't use Barclays nor have any products with them.

I feel it is counter productive to keep on pushing this at those of us who don't have anything to learn. all it does is re-enforce the idea that there is a difference. which there isn't, we are all people doing people things.

Target the scum with education, also have a go at getting the religious side of the debate to stop poisoning their followers. best of luck with that one though.

I don't like the idea that I have to have a rainbow icon just on the off chance that it might change some scums behaviour while the bds at Barclays rake in more cash from people taking in by the whole "we care" charade.
You don’t even have the icon?
no.

I did start by putting "devils advocate" on my first post.

It depends who’s interpreting it - maybe I am ignorant to the true meaning but it’s not something I care to know about... My view is if a bar has a flag up, expect its patrons to bat for the other team or if someone sets it as their screensaver then their preference is for the anatomy they possess themselves.... I have no problem with that but I do take issue to putting the flag on my phone or taking it into a professional environment where people should keep their views on sexuality to themself.
It is a civil rights matter. The flag is showing support for the civil rights of the LGBT community. You don't need to be explicitly part of that community to support it. Indeed, as you will see over Pride month and beyond, there are many businesses that have a flag in a window to show support for those people rights.

Yes probably.... basic biology is where the starting point is.... that said for all I care people can live their life however they want providing it doesn’t impact on others who don’t share their views.
What do you mean by that? Basic biology?

Doesn't really bother me one little bit.

Each to their own but they only thing that grates me a bit is why do some gay people just have to tell the world about it. So bloody what.

I'm just looking forward to the i like Fanny week.

I think we all know exactly what it means but for the sake of not offending anyone I’m going to bale out on that one.... it’s not even relevant.

That said I find it a bit odd that a group organises a special month for themselves to promote equality.... Each to their own but leave me out of it.... saying that does not mean I am against them in anyway.

You think being gay is against basic biology, but you don't have the courage to say it?

It is not for themselves, it is for anyone.

OP - Log into the app and press the top-left settings button twice.

Scroll down and you'll see an option to suggest feedback.

You can then submit your complaint/suggestion that the icon should be switchable or just revert back to the normal logo.

That's what I did anyway.

Nothing at all against anyone who is LGBT, but I have no interest in subliminally showing support for something I have no interest in, especially when it's forced.

Can you imagine if Twitter had a campaign supporting say the Conservative party and changed their logo temporarily to a blue and white tree instead of a bird? How would people who have no agenda or link to the Conservative Party feel about that...?

It is sad that there are still people with views like yours.

Nothing against LGBTQIA+ but I would prefer they didn’t push their views upon me.

You’re not the only one commenting on the app logo - check the App and Play Stores and Barclays UK Twitter help!

How are you showing support?

Barclays have changed their logo for a month, because they support pride. It says nothing about you.
