Due to gardening exploits we now have a bonfire about 5m tall and can be viewed from space.
Trouble is what wind there is is towards the nearest neighbour. What do I do???He’s outside having a beer I think as I caught the glint of glass reflection earlier. Well I think it was from a glass...
Hmmm....

Splendid, got the makings of a good conflagration that has.

Does your neighbour smoke?

It's not the done thing to have unlit bonfires laying around anyhow. Bloody nuisance they are grumpy

The sooner there's a thirty foot high wall of flame the better.

Errr Bomma.

You have been rather conspicuous by your absence the last few days........ When was the last time you visited Saddleworth Moor?

My apologies for my absence Jim, bit of family business needed attending to.

I haven't been round those there Saddleworth parts for a good while now, though admittedly my clothes do smell a bit of smoke.

I blame the Rothmans in confined spaces.

Reach out, oilbethere.

If you feel that you can't go on because all of your hope is gone and your life is filled with much confusion, until happiness is just an illusion,
and your world around is crumblin' down, reach out, come on oilbethere, reach on out for this thread. There's usually someone awake and in charge.

Or stop burning the candle at both ends.

Family business? Yes, unfortunately my nephew was taken ill, collapsed at work he did. There's never a good time for these things to happen, but this has happened at a particularly bad time what with other things going on.
He's still having tests done, we'll have to see what the outcome is.

Anyhow, I see the Four Tops have made an impromptu appearance this morning courtesy of Dicky.
Great band they are, I always thought one of them looked suspiciously like Richard Pryor.
Be interesting to know if they were ever seen in the same room together.

I've had a penchant for those for years now, must've eaten thousands of the bloody things. Mrs B does a very nice home made version incidentally.
I don't think it's a sign of pregnancy, I've certainly not been pregnant. Not that I'm aware of anyway.

Anyhow Bobbers, the Unimog Appreciation Society has been on this morning, want to know what you're buggering around at.
Any updates I can pass on to them?

Ah, yes. Scotch Eggs. When I was working in Norbiton a pioneer trivialite by name drivin_me_nuts came by for lunch. We went to a gastro pub that came third in the National Scotch Egg Championships that year. So that's what we had. This was after Lily had died and before his heart attack. We had a smashing time. He was really good company. A lovely guy. So much tragedy in one life.

Lily - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Cheers, Russ. It was a real privilege to know you.

Funny you should mention that Bomma it was suggested by Mrs Bobbers that i, as she put it, "Pull your finger out and finish the bloody thing this weekend!!", so I shall be making an effort to remove my finger from whence it is stuck and finish it!!!
