As an immigrant myself, I am actually delighted by how welcoming and open minded the huge majority of people have been in the UK and I'd like to think I have re paid them as an employer, tax payer, exporter and law abiding citizen.

It's factually true, young people stabbing other young people
has risen to levels unheard of in some inner city areas.
I do wonder if folk are willfully ignorant of facts that are easily
available, or more likely chose to ignore them as it doesn't agree with their views.

Previous 'jokes' of mine include the fact that mobile phones were around almost a century ago as I read that King Harold lost his charger at the Battle of Hastings, and one about my wife getting a bye into the quarter finals of a bread making contest as she entered a seeded loaf.

China does not have a diverse population, and it's doing pretty well. Same with Japan. I don't think India is particularly diverse, and they have nuclear weapons and a space program.
