One of the towns local to me had their big bonfire / fireworks display last night. I could hear it from here, around 3 miles away. I don't mind though - I'd have gone to take photos but they always look the same. I suspect the other nearby town will have theirs next Saturday.

Last night the town was full of people in devil / spooky costumes for a themed party carrying on from the fireworks. Unfortunately the rain flooded the venue and it was closed, so all the people who dressed up were spread around various other venues in the town.

I was surprised the other week to discover Portugal uses the same time zones as uk, I'd naively assumed they were the same as the rest of western mainland Europe. Mentioned this to a mate the other night and he said he's only found out 3 days after driving in to Portugal from Spain.

My friends (late frown ) Staffy used to respond well to being wrapped up in a special blanket. A coddler I think it was called. but google suggests you can use a wrap in a specific way.

Maybe try that?

illogical picky eaters.

People who (like my brother) say that they don't eat pork. But they'll eat bacon, gammon, sausage, and all other pork derivatives. but when it comes to normal pork meat to be used in a curry or stir fry, they won't eat it. Nor will they eat a roast pork. More for me i suppose.

Its probably a texture thing. It's quite different to the other bits of pig meat.

We use one of those for our Westie. Seems to work well.

probably goes some way to explain why he cuts the fat off of his back bacon. even if it's cooked perfectly under a grill all nicec and crispy.

I don't care what it's for - but I do know some people decided to start their fireworks around here at around 9:30 which went on for an hour or so last night. Stuff the people who have to get up early to go to work eh!

Thanks for reminding me Frank.
I had this when I sold my sisters MX-5. It was in good condition, just a slight mark on the body work and a couple of alloys needed tarting up, but nothing major, it was in great condition for the age. I factored it in with the price and said about it in the advert and showed photo's. The woman brings her son for a 2nd opinion - he said "We looked at the newer model MX-5 earlier and there was nothing wrong with that at all. What did he want me to do?! I think I just said "oh right".

That’s probably a bit like me. I don’t really like cheese although I will try the milder ones like Port Salut, Edam, mild chedder etc. If I have a ham & cheese sandwich I will usually get halfway though then pick out the remaining cheese, I think it’s a texture/taste thing. But I love it cooked in a toasted sandwich, cauliflower cheese, pizza etc.
