On the topic of doors I'm once again here to rant about people who don't say thanks, or at the very least a smile and/or a nod when you hold a door or let them through when passing.

I've booked a return flight using British Airways. I am absolutely astounded by the glitchy, awkward, website and app they have in place.
There's been countless errors on the website particularly. With 3 days in a row of periods where there is a message saying "Sorry, we're having issues at the moment".
There's also an issue as it connects to the American Airlines website (who operate one of the flights). This also produces errors.
I have completed information on the app, saved it, and then today got an email reminding me to complete it. I log in and see that none of the information is there.

By contrast EasyJet's app is a whole lot better.

The door outside my room was the one between the reception desk and the corridor to all the rooms, so everyone had to use it. The BA app, it’s fking embarrassing to be honest, as is their whole IT setup. IME one of the worst, if not the worst in the industry. I wanted to moan at them so put together a helpful response and when I went to submit…
Sums them up. As soon as I have got the tier points I want for this year, to use domestic lounges, I’ll be using alternatives to travel on long haul.

They can be adjusted in like 5 seconds. There's 2 screws on them under the hinge. One controls the speed of the door when it's fully open and the other controls the speed of the door after it's completed the 'fully open' section. If you don't need the door to latch on a lock, then turn the top screw fully clockwise and this will give it maxiumum damping and do the final closing bit really slowly./Most of the evening and from 6:30am BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
Note that the oil in the damper is affected by temperature. In warm temps the oil is thinner, so you'll get less damping and more slamming. Conversely, cold oil is thicker and so if you need it to latch, you'll have to slacken off the damping of the top screw just enough so the door does the final few inches fast enough to activate the lock. They require periodic adjustment to keep on top of this but it's a 5 second job with a flat head screwdriver.

He was 59 apparently, and boasted that blokes in their 20s couldn't do any pull ups.
Also claimed he enjoyed their girlfriends eyeing up this sad old bd who thought he was Arnie, while they were flabby and weak.
Then offered business advice for a large fee. A fee larger than his ego apparently.
But you get what you pay for. That's what he told us.

I love the feature where it will refuse to show your boarding pass as you approach the gates or maybe it will this time. Do you feel lucky punk? Well, do you??
'no details found' can be pretty disconcerting as you approach security.
