I haven't had a 'real' job since about 1990, but wouldn't it be easier to respond with something like:

'Hello, what can I help you with?', rather than making this into any kind of issue?
All well and good if I'm there to answer. But I shouldn't need to do that. And when I'm not there to answer I don't find out what they wanted so I can supply info/do whatever as soon as I see the message. Instead I am forced to ask what they wanted when I'm back at my computer, by which time they may not be available to respond and so the talk may go undone until the next day. Just state what you want/need in the first message. Pleasantries like hello are not needed and hinder communications. If feeling polite, do what I do and write,

"Hi Bob, would you mind sending me the launch codes for nuclear missile site A please as I need to nuke a few countries. Thanks."

This way, I can launch my missiles as soon as Bob is available to give me the codes rather than waiting for him to get back from lunch before I tell him what I need. If I wait unnecessarily, we might get nuked first. Which would be somewhat irritating.

Number plates on trailers not matching the towing vehicle. Or being drawn/painted on to the trailer. Or the trailer lights not working.

Cars with only the high-level brake light working. LAZY, IGNORANT S!!!

People parking in such a way that their one car (Audi A6 for example) takes up both spaces between the driveways of neighbouring houses.

Vauxhall Mokkas.
Or in my case, the tractor driver that nearly caused a collision when I tried to pass because his trailer was indicating left, so I thought he was letting me past, only to swing off to the right just as I started the overtake, then I realised he'd wired the fking trailer lights up the wrong way around. rage

Product suppliers/manufacturers who spit out multiple different versions of a product, and make no fking attempt to tell me what the fking difference is between them! fk off!

Today's gripe is about whitening and stain removal substances for clothing. I happened upon "Vanish oxi action whitener and stain remover". Then I saw "Vanish gold oxi action stain remover and whitening booster powder". In my book, gold is generally the better option. Nothing on Amazon could tell me what the actual difference was. Onto Vainish's website then...

It turns out Vanish don't even list the same products on the website. They list "Oxi action crystal white stain removal powder" and "Vanish gold oxi action crystal white powder". Ok slightly different names, now one is crystal white and the other is gold. Both of them state they remove stains and whiten clothes. Still not a fking clue what the difference is between them! Motherfkers!

How do you figure? It's for whites. There are separate products for coloureds.

There is. Gold is more on Amazon. Still doesn't tell me anything.

Is there a possibility that it's all marketing bks?

Bold squidgy lumps work for us and, as far as we're aware, we don't stink.

It's absolutely possible that it's all marketing wk. But oxi action stain removers (sodium percarbonate) aren't a gimmick.

Simply because they are charging more, much like most other items in life. Not always, but there is 'usually' a premium for better products.

I'm not arguing that. i've already stated above that gold in theory should be better.

Platinum

They're just words. You're overthinking this.

Using the same theory, the platinum should be better than the gold smile
