No no, not them stabby things, although they are useful for stepping distance on a chart, but you will still need a magnetic device to steer a course...

Your/ewer/you're in the right ballpark though!

Have we seen your new timepiece yet, in all its glory?
I do have both sorts of compass pequod, the dividing legs type and at least three different magnetic compasses, and many shiny slashy stabby things too!! cloud9
Since you asked, here's a few pictures, Ltd Edition run of 1,973 pieces in just two colour combinations, mine is No 2/1973.

That watch is a thing of beauty, Bobbers, but I'm not sure about the orangey bit. I do love the face, absolutely captivating. cloud9

Citizen Smith was probably before your time:

Mavis is not impressed with the rugby/football festival on the TV.

Good morning all.
Heavy heavy rain here at station F. Agent M is not amused.
We are all waiting for a rain pause, paws so we can go walkies. It's grey! Very grey!

I've been ordering parts for the tipper truck from all over the world this morning in order to get the old girl through the mot and then sold.

It's OK, Bobbers, this is PH.

We always sleep with one eye open.

IOTN, a pair of squabbling magpies were making a right old clackering chackering din in the trees at the back just now!

Isn't it supposed to be two for joy?

Yesterday I was parked in a one way service road which has parking on both sides and a single lane up the middle, it services a small parade of shops up the road from us and is clearly sign posted as one way, sat there waiting for my wife to come out of the Coop and a bloke just pulls straight into the end space facing the wrong way, I pointed out he was facing the wrong way and that it was one way, I was met with abuse and his middle finger, and that right there is what is wrong with this country now, no one accepts responsibility for what they've done, the universal reaction is swearing, abuse and quite often road rage.

We're off out for a nice Sunday roast, there's a lovely place locally that does a very good carvery thing so we'll give that a whirl.

Futtette's interested to know if your tip run will involve more colour co-ordinated stuff? She was quite impressed with the load you posted a photo of a while ago.

Anyway, he shouldn't have given you his middle finger. nono

Traditionally, the little finger is proffered by way of apology.

That is the way of the Yakusa.
