Picked up the Asics Gel Lyte III Olive Martini Camo today. £40 delivered. Had my eye on these but not at full price. First none Nike trainer in years!

Saw a few mentions of cleaning products/methods, any tips on the sole of these?


I normally use lukewarm water, a soft bristle toothbrush and woolite, don't want to go too aggressive and ruin the suede/leather, however, it's just not lifting the marks off the sole.

I’m gonna get some Sean Wotherspoon 97/1 (or try to), and also there’s the adidas Spezial drop in March, as well as the St Patrick’s day Dublins, depending on the colour. And lastly the only other thing on my radar are a pair of air span in a certain colourway (show them in the Berlin vid) which I’ve been told are due at some point, but not sure when

Other than that, just keeping my eye out for any more nice Diadora and Saucony drops, especially the collabs as these do th best ones for me

Pretty much every trainer on this thread has a massive logo on it. Have you seen the size of those ticks on the nikes? And the adidas ones covered in three stripes. Must be a theme

well yes but for some reason when i see that logo is "BOSS" it makes me feel differently.

Fair enough each to their own. Any reason you dont like the brand? Or does the price point put you off?

Not even kidding, I use baby wipes on the soles, especially for a quick clean as, obviously, they get dirty easily. SneakersER cleaner for a proper clean uppers and sole

Glad I am not the only one. Wife takes the piss when I come in and clean my shoes up but I have trainers over a year old that get worn (not in bad weather though) that look like they came out the box for the first time. Cannot stand a mucky pair of shoes.

No, follow the stores that are doing the raffles, follow trainer pages e.g. king of trainers. The sole supplier (English lads) should also be on your radar as should the drop date. TBH this thread is pretty good as well now, a fair few contributors with a real mixed bag of tastes.

Couple of pages back Danny and few others listed off the stores they use, that would be a good start! You'll find it easily its literally a list of 10 shops.

Start using Instagram for looking at trainers (pretty much all I use it for) and start following people who like the same type of trainers, if your into air max, jordans, asics, adidas originals there are massive communities on insta and facebook all willing to share! They are not always the most obvious names e.g. the annexe

Ok thanks, i thought when people mentioned Raffles, i thought the actual shoe company did the raffles and not the independants hence my confusion

Also, are there any shoe fit comparison sites still going? there used to be that good one (fitr??) but got brought out by someone and it disappeared.

Ive found the reflective adidas shoe i was on about but not sure itll fit as my feet are 'wide' and not wanting to pay out for double shipping costs.
