A police officer on patrol in the area then saw a blue Toyota Yaris parked near the field. Inside the vehicle was a large cucumber, baby oil and a bag of carrots.

Then a black rucksack found in the field was found to contain apples and carrots, biscuits, rope and silver tape.

Pony fiddler kit LOL made me chuckle when I read that bit. The guy must have been doing it regularly to go prepared with that lot. Crazy.

There's a lot to digest in that story and it's good to see the T&A still seem to have decent journalists in a world of "Reach Media" content, "reconnoitring" isn't something you read every day, especially in connection to a supposed owl watcher who has a bag with tape, rope, carrots and a cucumber in it.

I drove through twice at the weekend, it seemed a lot less packed with maniacs than usual but it was quite early in the day, that said when I took my daughter to the museum there a few months ago and then had the daft idea of having a wander around the shops (we always used to go there rather than Leeds when I was a kid) it was really eye-opening, drunks everywhere, gangs of kids fighting, just lots of general scum scurrying around, the only safe feeling place was the new shopping centre.

A friend of mine wondered if it might be an optimistic prep tool for himself in the event the horse wanted to reciprocate.

Currently working in Bradford city centre and you see some sights... Just this lunchtime I went to Gregg's at the Kirkgate Centre, where a "lady" with a pale complexion was being chased by security guards whilst waving a syringe around and screaming "I'LL STAB YOU WITH IT!!!". Lovely.

Wasn't thrilled that she passed me on the escalator, I'll be honest laugh

idea Viktor Orbán for UK Prime Minister!
Well, looking at the existing candidates, he’d get my vote! biggrin (OK, maybe not)

Hasn't the UK already achieved this "Because of Orbán's curtailing of press freedom, erosion of judicial independence, and undermining of multiparty democracy, many political scientists and watchdogs consider Hungary to have experienced democratic backsliding during Orbán's tenure.[5][6][7] Orbán's attacks on the European Union while accepting its money and funneling it to his allies and family have also led to characterizations of his government as an authoritarian kleptocracy"
I do like his smile though.

There was a chap stealing and eating swans not so long but there aren't many deer like that running around the roads in the Bradford area, I've only really ever seen them "in the wild" in Harewood but they are securely in the grounds.

Maybe road kill being repurposed but grim either way.

There’s a surprising amount of deer in Bradford because it’s so rural. Vast forests, moors and so on. Clearly not in girlington of course.

I’ve had to stop my car on a number of occasions as deer in the road have been locking my way or running across the road.

We had one in our office car park off Rooley Lane a couple of weeks ago.

I’ve watched gypsies try to go through the McDonald’s drive through, bare back on horses at the thornbury roundabout “ restaurant “.
They failed so came in and stole all the helium balloons

My last houses in Nabwood & bingley backed onto woodland, we got deer in both
Our current house has a stream and we get a variety of wildlife, no deer though.
The Pea Hen startles me occasionally when it decides to wander from its home on my neighbours garage.
As people state Bradfords a huge postal zone and includes a variety of areas.

When I expressed my surprise at deer in Bradford above I kind of meant within and around the ring road rather than the whole of the BD postcode area, we had our own deer and pheasants up in Long Preston but would have been horrified if anyone said we lived in Bradford biglaugh

Have they finished those road works at Greengates yet? For years every time I have to go to Leeds/Bradford airport I get stuck in them. It's depressing enough having to drive around the ring road from the M606 without then getting stuck.
