Size etc have them. Just look up Nike Tailwind 79 OG yellow - should throw up various options.

Very cool history too -

Love these. But it seems I missed the boat. Sold out everywhere in my size (US 14) frown

Maison Margiela. Owned by OTB, Diesel's parent company.
Was founded by a belgian guy (Margiela), now headed by John Galliano.

Not quite "some boutique", I would say!

I've always liked their paint splattered sneaker, but I'm not Shoreditch/male model enough to pull it off angel

Contrived AF, imo and about as far way from my interest in trainers as it's possible to get.

Let's stick to turquoise Asics!

Have you received your Tailwind OG's yet?

I’ve ordered some of these for my 4D’s in replacement of my 4D Onix Laces as I don’t want to ruin them.

https://www.slickieslaces.com/collections/aero-gre...

They will look like this which improves they look massively imo, plus the original laces are cheap tat.

What a difference! I’m clearly going to have to start thinking a bit more about lace choice.

Errr...Hence why it's called Replica?

In fact I one might argue that Adidas reissued the GAT (now BW Army) a few years ago on the back of Margiela's revival of the shoe

I intended to order them when I first posted the incoming pic on the thread. Promptly forgot.

Then I saw NAS's post above, re sellouts and had a yikes moment. Now ordered and arriving within the next couple of days.

By the skin of my teeth by the looks of it - my size was sold out in most places. Phew!

I'd expect a bit more originality for my £400.

I'd also rather have them from the Adidas, the original designer.

The fact they are so much cheaper too, makes it a no brainer IMO.

Both trainers based on the German army issue trainer from the 70's.

Adidas/Puma designed/supplied the original GAT's though so the Adidas ones have far more credibility than those poxy Margiela's IMO.

I know and don't disagree at all! I think we are the only poster who have a pair of Adi BW army, great trainer that can be had for a great price!

I'm new to them but will be buying more.

£55 on Offspring for an absolute classic silhouette with such history is ridiculous value!
