Wow, how many people have you got banned now?

Hopefully you’ll get found out eventually.

Doesn't stop some from restarting a fresh account from a new email address though.

What happened to Austin smirk? Used to enjoy reading the antics of his customers in the council thread

What ever happened to Kaptainlangzaam?

I have never met him in person, or communicated with him, so I don't want to speak out of turn, but...

I always wondered whether he was being completely honest about his lifestyle (and life in general). They always seemed to be some massive change / life event / huge purchase every few months. Then he totally disappeared, deleting his posts. I'm unsure why you would do that...

I hope my theory is not true, as I like to think that most PH's are just genuine people with a common interest.

Luke.

Having worked where he worked it seemed legit.

Often it’s when people you’ve perhaps disagreed with get upset and then work out who you are and cause, or threaten to cause you issues, unfortunately there’s a few very vindictive individuals on here. See above one such person celebrating managing to get someone banned who disagreed with him over climate change posts.

Like you said, most PHers are genuine people with a common interest but there are unfortunately some really unpleasant people in here also.

I started a new account after someone contacted my employer and tried to get me sacked. I have a job as an airline pilot and the poster worked out where I worked and told my employer they didn’t think I should be in charge of an aircraft likely based on disagreeing with them in a climate change thread also.

I’d been a poster on here for over 20 years.

Thankfully my employer ignored them but had to tell me about it.

Now he’s worked out who I am again, so I’ll likely close this account and start again or just not bother any more, I’m not sure if it’s worth the potential drama tbh.

Ahhh, that’s who you are.

Remember reading about that a wee while ago. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and shouldn’t be tolerated once mods have been made aware.

Valued poster so ignore the morons and best stay out of the the few lunatic threads that are running.

It’s actually pretty liberating when you start again, you can’t post in NPandE any more which is great as that’s where most of the trouble is tbh.

Don’t think so, it’s nothing to do with them if someone wants to contact your employer. It’s not against any laws etc.

I did report someone for saying they wished they knew who my employer was a while ago on one of the climate threads but not sure if anything ever happened. You don’t ever get feedback etc.

Either way it’s not a great thing to happen but not the end of the world.

Interestingly my employer said they get it happening more than I’d imagine but it’s usually upset ex partners etc doing it, trying to get someone in trouble.

Much of that forum is a cess pit of bile and impotent anger, IMO.

I much prefer to avoid it.

Instead, I concentrate on the important things in life: teaspoons and annoying the lunatics on the 'Fantastic Moments' thread.

Far healthier.

yes

No, that wasn’t me. I quite liked GG tbh, I know she was a bit abrasive and not always right when she stepped into civil aviation threads but she knew lots about her actual area of expertise (I think) and I found those post interesting. The 777 ETOPS thread was v funny though.

Anyway, PHs is mainly a great place and I still enjoy it.

The point is that when people close accounts and open new ones (which is ok as they’re not banned) there might be all sorts of reasons for it.
