Any chance we could get some sun..or even just more than 2 hours of dry weather? Getting bored of the rain now.

This was yesterday afternoon in Glasgow:

March surely has to have the biggest spread of temperatures of any month in the year?

It's also been a wet one, with 106mm of rain spread over 18 days.

I have to say I have embraced the rain despite the lack of opportunities to get out simply because I remembered just how bone dry winter and early spring were. Without all the recent wet falling from the sky there would be very early and high chances of drought and water shortages again.

I embraced the other day on the dog walk with a coat and waterproof walking shoes but I've just been caught out today with normal clothes and am absolutely soaked now

Agreed. I’d rather it be wet now rather than at the height of summer when I would be grumpy at the rain.

Unseasonably warm here in Andalucia… don’t typically see these temperatures for another 6 weeks…

I’ve done a full day replacing tiles on a roof terrace today… got my usual June tan a couple of months early biggrin

Wettest March since 1981, apparently.

OK come on, who caused this by buying solar panels?

The outlook is perking up! We've booked a place in Scotland next week.

Sorry Scotland...

Whereabouts? It’s very different feeling up here since the clocks changed - lovely long evenings are back!

Glencoe. Just found out the Jacobite train/Hogwarts Express is booked until June. Wish I hadn't mentioned it to the kids now! biggrin

Hah! You can go up glencoe ski resort, the sledging slope is open with their snow machine and it’s great fun, as is the trip up the open chair (wrap up)

Sadly IceFactor climbing centre in Kinlochleven has shut down

We went to the glenfinnan viaduct in January as I hadn’t been - just the walk up the hill above it is wonderful (it’s all signed), easy walk the kids will love. A bit muddy at the bottom, but it was crawling with Japanese tourist even on Jan4!

Nevis range is brilliant because it’s full of easy - hard mountain bike trails. 20 quid a bike for half a day, really great bikes, again we had a lot of fun - 10 year old son declared it best thing ever!

It looks like Aonoch Mor ski resort is completely bare!

Don’t worry, they’ve planned for it but yes - pretty short season this year unfortunately!!

The food in glencoe gathering is good - we normally stay at the isles of glencoe hotel (as it has a pool) but the food is pretty poor. Keep meaning to try the seafood restaurant in the Ballachulish hotel

The Laroch in Ballahulish isn’t great. Better to drive up to fort William for a bit of choice, but I always find the place a bit grim! It’s got a small climbing wall in and old church

Any idea if the Clachaig Inn is any good? Just realised I haven't been for 15+ years!
