I employ a Gardener, and a cleaner and I drive an old Merc and own Spaniels and several houses. But I didn't name my children Petunia or Hector, and didn't send them to private school.

I can't figure out whether I'm middle classed or not and therefore can't contribute to the Middle Class thread. It's quite vexing.

I cut my finger.

I have run out of the nice cushioned plasters which make my ickle finger better.

I have to use the thin cheap plasters, which lose their stickiness after 5 mins and fall off.

Washing machine packed in over the weekend. Had to make do with an old pair of work trousers with a hole in the crotch.

The cash machine I used on Saturday only dispensed £5 notes, so my wallet feels way too full given the value of the cash currently sat in there

I have found that the type of wallet I have used for the last 40 years (a billfold) is uncomfortable when put in my back pocket. The pile of notes and credit/debit cards makes it too thick. I have had to move to a coat wallet that I can slip in a jacket pocket.
