I employ a Gardener, and a cleaner and I drive an old Merc and own Spaniels and several houses. But I didn't name my children Petunia or Hector, and didn't send them to private school.

I can't figure out whether I'm middle classed or not and therefore can't contribute to the Middle Class thread. It's quite vexing.

Do you listen to the Archers, that's the clincher in a case like yours.

You are indeed middle class, and are entitled to fancy Felicity Kedal ( this applies equally whether you are male or female ) and eat Focaccia bread with black olives.

I cut my finger. cry

I have run out of the nice cushioned plasters which make my ickle finger better.

I have to use the thin cheap plasters, which lose their stickiness after 5 mins and fall off. cry

The gammon was a bit too salty tonight. Have had to wash it down with an extra glass of iced tea. It was the only solution.

Washing machine packed in over the weekend. Had to make do with an old pair of work trousers with a hole in the crotch.

The cash machine I used on Saturday only dispensed £5 notes, so my wallet feels way too full given the value of the cash currently sat in there irked

I have found that the type of wallet I have used for the last 40 years (a billfold) is uncomfortable when put in my back pocket. The pile of notes and credit/debit cards makes it too thick. I have had to move to a coat wallet that I can slip in a jacket pocket.
