Yeah I agree. His travel show on recently was quite funny but caught some of his stand up and it was painful. Felt embarrassed for him.

Didn't mind Bill Bailey until last year at Reading Festival when his entire act was berating Brexit and the thicko's who voted for it.
You don't have to laugh, but nobody can deny that he's an incredibly talented bloke. Have you seen any of his sets where he plays a million different instruments? Incredible.

He was good when I saw him previously, but then he didn't base his act on Brexit then......

I used to really like Eddie Izzard up until he started with the whole Euro agenda stuff.

I did notice on last weeks "Mock the Week" they had a token Brexit-supporter on the panel. I wish they'd steer as clear of it as they can, and just be funny for a bit, though I imagine while it's still making up most of the news, it's probably to be expected on a news-related panel show.

Phil Jupitas has been mentioned here but he popped up on QI this week.

Not a single redeeming/amusing bone in his body. Saw him once at The Comedy Store way back when. He was ste then too.

I bet he's a remoaner too

I find a lot of modern comedians quite unfunny. More focused on sarcasm and trying to be edgy. Been a while since I really split my sides laughing with one.

With that said, I do think Ricky Gervais' stand-up show is genius, even if not hugely into his film/TV work. And Tommy Tiernan from here in Ireland has a manic quality about him which really lends effect to his humour.

The Big Yin was always my favourite growing up and still remains that way.

Oh and I forgot Eddie Murphy.

He was somehow brilliant in the 80s (watch Raw to see genius at work) and then completely lost his mojo.

I went to see him on Saturday evening and he did a very funny set. The encore was an unfunny rant about Brexit. Shame it spoiled it.

I think Ramesh is fking hilarious. Just cracks me up.

He was on Jonathan Ross saying how he was testing out some gags in front of his wife, and she didn't even smile. He said "aren't they any good" and she replied "no, but I'm sure people who like you will think they're funny."

you too are a leftist maniac.
I asked you a perfectly reasonable polite question, yet your response concluded with the above.

Can I ask why?
That is not true and i apologize if i came off too harshly. What is not true is outright labeling you a leftist maniac. I stated it as a question not a presumed fact on the basis of IF you failed to see where I was driving at or did see but outright ignored it then i was suggesting/asking if you were a leftist maniac. But i did not imply so matter of factly that you are one.

Either way, again, I do sincerely apologize if i came off too rough.

P.s. i wasnt necessarily offended, far from it but I see now that i had indeed took it the wrong way

Im just curious as to why you would ask me if those were my genuine beliefs... Do you live in the U.S.? I ask only because if you do and are in fact a conservative, which By the way i applaud you for that, then i am assuming that you have been keeping up with the news by conservative networks and political commentators such as Tucker Carlson (who is my favorite mainstream conservative pundit) among others from various pod casts and radio shows that are in now way in short supply of video clips and stories and voice clips of MANY mainstream "comedian" talk show hosts mostly of whom are host to their own late night shows that have begun a concerted effort since before Trump was on the verge of being elected that have and continue to bash everything Trump and the Republicans and the Conservatives have been accomplishing thus far. They clearly reckless, without any awareness of them being Democratic and leftist mouth pieces shoving their distorted and irrational views down the throats of their viewers.

It happens constantly at celebrity award shows, radio shows and pod casts and of course stand up socials and regularly scheduled program shows. To me and countless others like me do not find any humor in what these REAL bigots and sexist and increasingly violent leftists spout on a daily and nightly basis. These people are the true enemies of the regular hard working and contributing citizens of America.

It really sucks but i have a list of MANY celebrities both minor and major that i have lost all respect for and now refuse to give them my attention, my time, my money etc. This includes people like Robert st head DeNiro, Whoopi Goldberg, John Mayer, Taylor Swift, etc etc. At this rate they will find their precious ratings for self celebrating ego stroking award shows as well their movies and radio programs will continue to have a massive decline in viewership and overall ratings (which has already begun happening since last year and continues to do so). If these idiots know what is best for themselves and their careers and their overall praised status they would recognize that the normal everyday citizen tunes into wherever to be entertained and amused after a hard days work, NOTHING MORE AND NOTHING LESS. We don't give a flying horse st about the brain dead political stance(s) agenda(s) of said "comedians/actors/actresses".

Just shut the hell up Amy Schumer and keep your political opinions to yourself BILL MAHER you unfunny fool.
