I always wonder how we must look to cats though, assuming they could actually think on that level. People are supremely intelligent compared to all other life on Earth yet we choose to kick balls around fields, get drunk and write crap on internet forums, among other pointless pursuits. We're dumb too...

Yep - really opened my eyes when I worked in London. The number of dozy sods transfixed to their mobile phone screens not looking where they are going.

According to DFT stats for 2012 - pedestrians not looking properly accounted for almost 11,000 accidents, including 173 fatalities. That's around 10% of all fatalities on the road - exactly the same number of fatalities attributed to speeding.
