Tales like that but serve to remind me, I am a very lucky man; timely given the occasion.

Thank heaven for the non-mentalsbeer
Complete agreement here.

One of the OH's best friends is having an ex crisis, so I am surplus to requirements and 'we'll do Valentine's next week sometime'.

Hence being able to enjoy relationship carnage with a beer or two, with unconditional approval of the oversight committee.

Think the traditional card, flowers, choc, breakfast thing helped, though.

My childhood friend is being played on Annie Mac tonight. Yay!
I am angry for you, and disappointed in Annie.

No-one deserves to get played on Valentine's day.

And the license payers are funding this?

Questions need to be asked in the house.

Tuesday is good for me! Theres a few places that aren't bad but probably the best is The Albert which is just opposite Kingston hospital. Access is grand and it's a nice pub.
The Albert and I are old friends.

The Albert's Welsh Rarebit and I are old friends also.

Marvellous.

Tuesday, seven o'clock.

Will I recognise you?
Room for another?

Chap on 'Inside Out' on the Beebe just now is living upstairs, as ground floor is 3 foot deep underwater.

He has taken his toaster, microwave and other devices upstairs and is still using them, whilst every socket downstairs is below the waterline.

How?

Circuits downstairs tripped?

Seems wrong.

Anyone else for the Albert on Kingston Hill tomorrow evening?

If so, and you fancy your chances with the small but perfectly formed brunette barmaid, when you ask where she's from and she says, "Transylvania," I strongly urge you not to say, "Really?!?"

She'll go right off you; then and there.
'How'd you do, I, see you've met my, faithful handyman' probably not much better.

I was contemplating this as had a free day & night / but I've now filled it with a young man. Will be interested in any future rendezvous though.
You and your ex could always use Facebook or twitter to let each other know how spectacularly energetically you are rutting animalistically with your new partners.

It would save me having to volume the thread quite so often.

Something to consider.

Perhaps you ought to consider showing less of an unhealthy interest.
You sound like a z-lister who splays herself for fhm and then complains about being treated accordingly.

I have no interest in your little spat, save it not be perpetuated here.

I can only guess there's a new mod (or JAYB is on one of his rampages) or the op complained. They even removed all my posts, but left the quoted ones, which leads me to think it was a newbie (or JAYB).

It was the Have I been living in a civilised bubble thread.

No different to my usual posts.
Rampages?

Lost me there.

Champers, am interested in your opinion.

The latest album from a US indie outfit called ki:theory is available to download free from their website.

Album is called Kitty Hawk.

Some is meh, but some also rather good.

One track in particular I have on heavy repeat, and calls to mind 'Cry little sister' from The Lost Boys, in feel. Wonderfully dark in tone.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

That sob story there was pathetic. Bloody aunts dying and everyone crying. STAGED!!
Can't keep I can accept, but can't get?

It's Kylie. Rylan would have a go given the chance.

Where can I buy a small model boat/ship tonight?

I'm talking to some pupils and parents at a careers night, at a local school on Wednesday.

I want to take a prop, trying to explain what I do will be a lot easier if I can point out what I'm talking about.

I have one of these at home:

But home is 25 miles in the wrong direction, and it's a bit big to fit in my work bag.

I tried the toys r us website, couldn't find anything useful.

The argos website, despite me searching for 'ship' and 'boat' keeps trying to sell my toy helicopters and thomas the fking tank.

Anyone got any bright ideas? Just a small model ship. Anything would do, warship, tanker, container ship. Bonus points if it's something I can play with in the bath later on.
Where are you?

I know there are loads in my local ToysRUs, and The Entertainer has a few also.

Glasgow.

I'll swing by the local toys r us tonight then I suppose. The website had silly kids toys, I'm looking for a scale model of something.

Cheers
Not quite a scale model, but an aircraft carrier any good?
