Pug,
Any updates on what those crazy weather scientists maybe thinking by looking into their supercomputer powered crystal balls?
Any signs of the stratospheric warming, an Eastern blocking pattern, a Scandinavian wotsit or generally anything colder that will kill all of the spiders and stops the grass growing?
Or is the mild, wet and windy going to continue?
It's a strange one at the moment. The polar vortex that normally starts to appear over NE Canada/Greenland at this time of year is missing. However, despite this, the jet stream is active, and pointing straight at us. So the outlook remains cool and unsettled.
Keeping an eye out for widespread snowfall on Sat - but certainly not sounding the klaxon at this point. As usual, it's knife-edge territory and not 100% supported by all the models - so no excitement, yet.

All events at Meadowhall cancelled, people already in Meadowhall advised by police to stay put as area gridlocked. Floodwater now entering Meadowhall itself.
