For the UK, last few days of enjoyable autumn. Low pressure moves in on Monday, and hangs around.

Mrs Puggit and I have 3 days to paint and waterproof this...

Are we close to any records for an October day? It's November in just over a week and yesterday seemed strangely warm.
Not even close for October (record is 29.9, 1st Oct 2011 - even the Nov record is warmer than yesterday). I think it was within a degree of the 19th October record.

2 separate areas to watch out for today. Firstly N Wales and in to the M62 corridor.

Later on, South of M4.

Heavy rain is the main threat, locally biblical. Thunder is a possibility, although fast moving - and tornadoes cannot be ruled out (UK style, locally damaging a few roofs, not US style).

Latest models move the threat tonight slightly north. So instead of southern coastal areas seeing the worst of the rain, the M4 will now get it.

Going to get quite nasty tonight. Strong winds and (small) tornadoes remain a risk.

The Met office didn't forecast that either!
I'm sure they did? I mentioned it on Sunday?

Storm Aurore absolutely battered us last night, could be a bad winter for violent storms.

I got it in last year's Amazon Black Friday event so might be worth hanging on until then as they are not a bargain!

(You can get extra bits to measure wind and rainfall if you want to go Full Puggit).
We re-did the garden this year - Mrs Puggit dropped my anemometer not once, but twice. I suspect it's buggered.

Thanks again thumbup

I also have an anemometer biggrin
I think it's a very (older) blokey thing to want to measure and monitor things around us.
I'm not saying, I don't want to embarrass you.

A pretty good weekend down south - spent loads of time in the garden!

Weds/Thurs we have an atmospheric river aimed at NW coastal areas. Lake District, Western Scotland will see significant rainfall.

In to early next week - chance of a big Atlantic wind storm.
