I got the 3 vowels in two but as never heard of the correct word I tried other options and failed to get it.

Yes, and if you've got the first four right on the third line then you've used one of these so you've only got two to guess from with three lines left.

Yes he has used one once but you can use letters more than once. Hence the 3 letters can be used at the end to get to 6th line.

In three today. But realised too late (7 blasted minutes too late!) that I hadn't attempted yesterday's Wordle, and so I've lost my 26 game streak. No doubt my streak for Worldle has gone too. More annoying because I had my laptop open anyway, so could have played both games in plenty of time... [sigh]

Same happened to me 3 weeks ago. Forgot to do it one day and lost my streak. I’m not sure why they do it like that. It’d be better if your streak was counted only for the games you played.

There’s also 64-ordle and polyordle (as many boards as you like - I’ve played 128 but it looks like you can hover 10000 if you like), as well as games containing 3 and 6 boards (both on hexordle).

Having played them a bit, I find sedecordle to be the best high board game, as once you’ve completed 20 boards the remainder generally don’t require any more than for you to read off the five correct letters that have already been used in the right positions.
