That is high pressure, directly overhead.. no wind, and should be sunny... I don't think there's a warm air mass involved, but will be pleasant!

Thankfully my wide brim hat is coming back from Thailand with my son this week. I got sunburnt on my bald patch (the one on my head) last Saturday whilst up clearing moss and weeds off a flat garage roof...
Yup, I had to put a hat on to paint the fence!

Pissed off by current MetOffice forecasts - worst case scenario for the high pressure. Cool and cloudy. hurl

Well it's sunny, breezy with cloudy spells here in the south - just tried painting the fence but when the cloud rolls by and the wind picks up I was shivering. I've come indoors!

It almost hit 20 in NI yesterday - shows the position of the high was irratatingly close for the majority of us.

The only glimmer of hope in the MetOffice long range forecast is that temps go up by 1 degree on average every week currently...

Sun is out, in our sheltered garden it was divine. End of the ridiculous cold spell is here.

Sun is out, sky is blue - house is cold but I haven't turned the heating on (yet?). Met Office saying a heady 14 degrees (BBC saying 17...).

It feels like Spring is back.

Just heard ITV telling me the 3 month outlook is warmer than normal but wetter than normal. So that's fairly useless for any outdoors fun, but at least the heating won't be on. FFS.
Kind of the reason we invested in an outdoor cabin (and painted it in Norwegian cabin paint!). So we can enjoy wet and warm summers 'outdoors' rofl

I really wish the rain would bugger off. If its not going to then at least some warmth will be welcome.

Its a bit warmer today but I am still debating about having the heating on for a bit as the house is a little chilly. Its nearly May FFS. Sun is sporadically out, but not enough to sufficiently warm the house.

I hope we will be rewarded later in the year with a decent summer, but based on what we have had the last 18 months I wont hold my breath
Well, MetOffice have just tweeted:

Good luck!

Glorious in West Berks. We managed to run off solar powered batteries overnight, sun hit the roof just as they were about to run out of juice. Electricity imported today = 5Wh (ie almost nothing).

Big storms forecast in northern France tomorrow - heavy rain and a small storm threat for central southern England.
