I realised at the weekend that I've now had a driving license longer than I didn't have one.

On the music theme, I've also noticed that a large percentage of the music I buy are now greatest hits compilations.

I've also got "new" T-shirts that are older than some mate's kids- and they're about to sit exams...

Good grief! Retro, my butt.

I do get some funny looks when I take my '94 GT Pantera out to the local MTB trails. "How can you ride offroad without suspension" etc etc.
Speaking of GT, they did some iconic BMX bikes in the eighties. I remember lusting over the 'GT World Tour' when I was 12.

Same here. I passed my test 20 years ago tomorrow but my life before I could drive still seems longer than the time since. irked

Imagine how it's going to feel when you have had a licence twice as long as when you didn't ... you're not helping!

Saw the trailer for the Inbetweeners movie and thought, cool, it's like the next generation's Kevin and Perry go large.
Then realised that I spanned BOTH those generations!

you know you are old when the car hire rep rejects your paper driving licence and asks for a "proper" licence

You think the same of music that teenagers listen to today, as your father did of the music you listened to when you were a teenager.

You know you're old when you have an unexpected night on the lash - and you can just about function at 11.39 in the morning.

I realised a couple of months ago that I had spent more years wishing I was thin again (19) than I actually spent being thin (18).

I now own a treadmill.

When the barber has just finished cutting your hair and you dread seeing the back of your head / the thinning patch when he gets the other mirror out!

When your in the local pub chatting to teachers who's class you were in at school.

When you hear the opening few bars of a song on the radio, it's one of your favourites until you realise it's been remixed by some yoof who shouts all over it

You're doing well. For me, it's 11.39 the morning after the morning after!

Tv adverts use 'Retro' clips from 20 years ago, you recognise them but to some they are new.
I saw a few weeks ago an Milky Way advert on TV, the one with the red and blue cars... I remember when it was shown the first time - that made me feel old, and I'm just passing the half way mark of my twenties frown

I'm getting old.

Whenever it rains my immediate thought is - oooh. Good for the lawns.

It's slowly creeping up on me.

That advert annoys me because it's been crudely edited (to cut out a line that claims "because it doesn't ruin your apetite") and no longer scans properly. The very fact that this irks me makes me feel old.

When you realise that you have been alive longer than the number of years between your birth and the end of the second world war.

Also when you catch a bit of an episode of George & Mildred and realise

1. you saw it the first time around and
2. you remember your house looking just like it
