Worse pain ever felt?
Discussion
Short term was pain from Gallstones, akin to my ribcage being put in a vice and tightened for hours at a time. Nothing eased the pain until the stone moved.
Long term was dental pain from a upper back tooth which needed to be pulled out as it was beyond saving. Problem was it was already so badly filled it had to be done in hospital as it was likely to break and need cutting out. The f
king waiting list for hospitals is stupidly long and I lived on Paramol and other stronger tablets for some months. Sleep became almost impossible and life was generally unbearable until the tooth was gone.

Leaving a pilonidal for a year when I was 17, I didn't want to see the doctor. (I thought I'd bruised something down there, cause it only hurt if I sat awkwardly) Happily went on the summer holidays (6 weeks of sitting on soft seats or moving around) and when I came back to college in September, I physically couldn't sit on a plastic chair/lab stool.
Went to the doctor and said I thought I had a pimple/boil at the top of my ass, he took one look and called an ambulance.
The worst pain wasn't that. It was after they'd removed the cyst (which was the size of a plum) and had left an open wound which could then heal from the inside out. I then had to see a nurse daily who would remove the packing from the wound and then repack it with gauze. No anaesthetic used. That is honestly the worst pain I've ever felt.

Edit - CS gas/Mace is pretty bad as well.
CS gas is a f![](/inc/images/censored.gif)
Led into a small brick building with a plinth in the middle on which one of the instructors had lit a couple of CS "tabs". Then told to remove our respirators and recite our name, rank, number and chosen trade before we were let out.
I swear those of us who were stupid enough to say "RAF Police" got held in there longer than the others.

/thread.
Urrgh, just did a search on Google images. Was expecting something to do with the nose./thread.
Mine. Having my mate's front tooth pulled out of my head when I was a kid. Hurt him more when it snapped off going in, hurt me coming out. Second was coming down the stairs, putting my full weight on the sewing needle that someone had left there. Heard it crunch as it hit the bone

I hate pain. My two biggest pain fears are having a chest drain put in and having a broken ankle reset. I've seen this on TV and even morphine doesn't seem to help.

CS gas is a f

In my case some people in uniform decided it was a good idea to spray an entire group of us. Unfortunately my acrobatic roll under a parked lorry wasn't quite quick enough to avoid getting an entire mouth full of the crap to choke on. 15 minutes later I could just about see well enough to come out.

I also had severe sunburn on my shoulders 2 years ago. The entire area was blistered, weeping, and was wry friggin painful indeedy. The nice lady at the clinic decided to clean it by scrubbing it with what seemed like Brillo. f
king painful.
Pics after the cleaning a few days later.
That reminds me of when I had a severe reaction to Amoxicillin. My whole body was red, looked sunburnt and was actually burning up. I was admitted to hospital for 5 days and at one point in the middle of one night I was burning up so badly they got a bucket of ice for me to put my feet in. I actually fell asleep with my feet in the bucket such was the relief from it.![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

I shed a complete layer of skin starting from my head working the whole way down my body. For several days my hands were almost useless, I couldn't grip anything. I actually had tweezers to pull sheets of skin off which always now reminds me of the scene in Silence of the Lambs.

Been there, the sarge in charge thought it funny to dig me one in the ribs as I took my mask off, queue 1 lungfull of the crap & instantly turning into a dribbling snotmonster who couldn't breathe![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

I once trapped a nerv that pretty much paralysed(sp?) me. I just pulled my belt tight getting ready for work one evening then all of a sudden my chest felt very tight, I could barely breath nevermind talk and tell the GF what was going on. The slightest movement wether it be my head arms or legs sent shooting pains down my back and around my chest. No position I could sit or lie in felt comfortable or even dulled the pain and lets not forget the embarisment of a 22 year old having to be undressed by his GF.
Those 2 days were far far worse than the old foreskin/zipper routine.
