A quick question about porn

I was going to ask a stupid question about solicitors, then I googled.
So paying for sex is legal, but asking for consent to pay for sex is illegal? And paying for sex without consent is illegal, obviously.
I'm never not going to be confused about this.
Just make sure that if you haven't paid for it she has given permission and you'll be fine.So paying for sex is legal, but asking for consent to pay for sex is illegal? And paying for sex without consent is illegal, obviously.

Hello,
How do you spot the ethically sourced porn that empowers it's subjects by valuing their abilities as people, and avoid the exploitative porn where people are doing things for money?
Aren't most people in porn for the money? Those participating are seldom doing it for fame or because a normal job is boring. How do you spot the ethically sourced porn that empowers it's subjects by valuing their abilities as people, and avoid the exploitative porn where people are doing things for money?

Plenty of enthusiastic amateur exhibitionists as well, I suspect.
I'm hearing a long pause after that comma!I suppose you will never know, some porn actors and actresses will love everything about it and some amateurs will relish putting their own photos out there, though I would imagine a whole lot more will be coerced into it or do it through desperation, I suspect a lot of the amateur pictures were never taken with the internet in mind, and sometimes the subject doesn't even know which is wrong.
Not sure anyone would want "Fair Trade" porn though, we had the Coffee at work and no bugger would drink it.

Interesting thread. However ultimately if you're not paying then you have no input into what is produced so really it then comes down to your own comfort while consuming said media.
Personally I don't like watching videos of beheadings and I also don't like watching porn where you can see some junkie or someone being abused or whatever and a lot of it is questionable. The line of what's acceptable will be different for everyone though.
I don't really know any trick as such but I suppose over time you'll pick up the subtle clues as to what's good and what's going to be dodgy. The titles can often be a give away but ultimately if you don't like something just move on.

No different to any other film, how much did Val Kilmer make from starring in Heat & Top Gun? Those films grossed $180m & $350m yet he's flirted with bankruptcy for the last 10 years.
What makes you think that? A quick google seems to consistently suggest he's worth $25m, so hardly destitute!Kermit power said:

If you think there might be a market for it OP, go for it. How hard can it be...
I suspect quite hard for the first half hour, then with decreasing firmness before becoming totally unusable well before it'd be time for the first tea break.I suspect anyone who, like me, instinctively thought there would be tea breaks during filming shouldn't be in that industry.
I read or watched something a while ago where it was mentioned after the shoot the girls were quite often left for the crew to have a go on before they all went home whether they liked it or not.
It's a pretty seedy industry and while some of the people are no doubt havin ght time of their lives I suspect many of them are suffering horrible abuse. A lot of the gay porn actors are straight and are just "Gay for Pay" which says a lot about how badly paid they are.

A more baffling question is: Why does anyone pay for porn?
There are more free videos available on the Internet than it would be possible for any person to watch even if they were at it 9am-5pm for years on end.
It just baffles me that there is even an 'industry' anymore given that it pretty much is all given away for free, or ends up on a free to view website along with 100,000,000 other videos.
Where is the money coming from?
Surely the Internet has completely killed off the Cinema, DVD, satellite and pay-per-view, and magazine markets?
I'm worried about their business model!

Niche poem still pays and a lot of sites kick back advertising money to the companies films they use. There are more free videos available on the Internet than it would be possible for any person to watch even if they were at it 9am-5pm for years on end.

I'd agree with that for the women but don't the blokes tend to get a paltry sum for their efforts? They must be in it just to snake some women, it can't be the money?
Well if the premises that men aren't paid for straight and women are left to the crew to have afterwards are true, and we consider the plausibility that an end viewer might want to see "Fair Trade porn" as it has been called, and might pay to see given the reasonable(?) assumption of free porn not being up to this standard said gentleman's viewing knowing that the actors are in better working conditions, there might be a business case for said "Fair trade porn".
I have zero idea if it would work out viable, but someone must have looked at it...

"Gay for Pay"
I just don't understand that. I can understand how a woman could do gay for pay, but how do blokes do it? Or maybe that should be "how did blokes do it before Viagra"?If two chaps want to go at it together, that's fine by me, but the mere thought of me having to take another bloke up the jacksie is enough to guarantee that I would be physically incapable of doing so...
