Making someone collect their ladders?

I had some workmen leave a long ladder behind after they'd done some work - they didn't return for it even though I asked them many times. After 6 months I gave the ladder to a neighbour.
I've a very good ladder which wallet by a builder, likeyou I asked several times but they never came back. It's been very useful over the years.

I'd tell him he has a week and then it goes on the pavement outside your house with a 'free to a good home' sign on it.
I know that none of us well-built manager type PHers actually live in such a locale, but maybe the OP could engage someone to transport the ladder to an area where rough folk dwell, and thus the ladder would be swiftly stolen from the pavement without the need for such a sign? Glade said:
Never used the ovens in the QC lab to dry out damp spark plug leads, after you (stupidly) tried to wash an engine?

My word. That all sounds very industrial. Never had the sparky at work wire up your garage?
Never borrowed a fk off massive torque wrench from the maintenance dept?
