She's very driven and earns considerably more than I do
Snap.Chartered accountant, chartered tax adviser, was a partner in her firm before 40 and had cleared our mortgage before then too.
I don't do badly but she is far more driven than I am.
She's now determined to retire at 50 which will make me feel great trundling into work until I'm in my sixties.

Running a large hospital department, writing several published books, being part of five ongoing charities, driving my R500 to a track day, suggesting I buy a new Aston Martin .... and currently going to the shop to buy me some beer.
Proper class, my other half.
She's nipped to the shop to buy your beer....a definite keeper Proper class, my other half.
Overcomes her physical disabilities all the time, tell her she can't do something and she will do it just to prove a point!
They told her she would never have children, she has a son now 25
They told her she would never drive a normal car, she does, better than most and has aspirations to have a go in a HGV (this will be hugely entertaining she is only 4'11)
They told her she would be in a wheelchair by the time she was 20, she is now in her 40's without one.
Frankly I spend a fair bit of time in awe of her and just what she can achieve! She can build walls, mix slop, plaster to a reasonable standard (far, far better than me), she decorates and frankly makes the best sandwiches I have ever eaten...

Played chess against her for the first time today. I won 2 games to 1, bloody impressed she can actually play. Kept that quiet.
Neither of us can play chess...but we play Rummikub and she is better at it than me. I have a PhD in engineering, she a PhD looking at how to manage rivers and restore them. I should be cake walking maths games. She's also got a fantastically good sense of direction. If she's been there once before, doesn't need a map to get there again. Generally knows which direction to head in to get anywhere, whilst I am wandering about without a clue. When I was younger though I used to wander off from my parents all the time without a care! Still do it now!
She certainly can drive as well. I say well, she's more agressive but consequently can be a bit more sloppy and definitely has no mechanical sympathy. She also likes looking out of windows whilst driving which unervingly causes her hands to turn the opposite way as she does so!!! (I do most of the driving so we don't crash whilst shes being interested in something in a field somewhere!).
She works in a Dementia home, mainly on nightshifts but still manages to look after our 3 kids who are all at that difficult "teen" years. The dementia work means weekly she gets wacked in the face, spat on and hair pulled etc. She also keeps our house in good order doing most of the DIY herself.
And she does this 9 months of the year on her own as i work abroad.

I'd love to, but she's out buying me beer.
Mine is also currently out buying me both beer and vodka!
To continue the thread, mine is incredibly smart, especially with languages - speaks 8, Chief of Marketing for an IT company, never has a problem with me having a guys night out, just as happy to veg with Netflix as to hit a fancy restaurant and as mentioned before, is currently out buying me booze!
Terrible cook and no mechanical sympathy, but those are my departments anyway, so works out perfectly!
Mrs Fox is great at dealing with antagonistic bolshy customers. When Mr Angry phones the office ranting and demanding to speak to the person in charge her staffs response is 'certainly sir' as they gleefully put the customer through to Mrs Fox whilst digging out the popcorn in anticipation for the show that invariably follows. The more aggressive and rude the customer the greater the anticipation of the entertainment that's certain to follow. She's a qualified nurse and her days working on the wards taught her a lot about dealing with the less reasonable sections of society. She has yet to meet her match
Puts up with me on a daily basis. For that alone she deserves a medal!
She set herself a weight loss target at the start of the year and has smashed that target already.
She is head of internal audit for a multinational company and earns considerably more than I.
Despite being a vegetarian she cooks the best bacon sarnie in the world.
Is as foul mouthed as I am.

Without sounding cringeworthy in the sickness stakes my other half is an absolute diamond. She helps with all the house renovations, gets her hands dirty with any task given to her, never moans if I go out with the lads, even drives us and sometimes picks us up. Points out fit women and gives them grades herself and on top of that is a real minx in the bedroom so I have to tell myself a lot of the time just how fortunate I am, in fact my mates do a lot of the time as they get the exact opposite treatment, happy days indeed!
Looks after the children all day while I am out working, which when I had a go at staying home seems to be far harder than the work I do daily and I manage a haulage company and deal with staff and customers all day.
Also, my wife is the family banker. If the finances were my responsibility we would have an amazing fleet of cars that we lived in.
