Anything tasty or of decent quality.
Their (British) meat, and fruit and veg, plus basic food stuff is excellent quality. Who want to hang around in a bloody supermarket, anyway? I'm in and out in 20 mins, whereas the others you're fighting past confused pensioners, coffee shops and chuggers - Aldi is great.
I've been in once. It was like a car boot sale, only stter.

Some stores have started doing clothes. I havent sunk that low, yet.
My mother in law loves going to the Lidl/Aldi near where she lives and now whenever she comes out, and we then go to visit or she comes to see us, she has bought more baby clothes that she gives to my wife in preparation for our baby.

it is all 100% cotton stuff - though I don't know how much of it is made in an Asian sweatshop, but its perfect for a baby who will inevitably puke on it and grow out of it the next day, but only £2-3 per item, its ideal!

Organic, innit. No pesticides.
I do get it. Stuff like this happens occasionally, i can accept that. Two weekend shops on the trot though just felt like a piss-take.

They explained that too, but no apology as such.

For baby clothes, yes I would buy from there I guess,

For me, I am 6 foot 2, and an ex heavyweight east end boxer, I quite like my trousers without sewn in feet.

Bit odd. I certainly would have expected an apology. Or a trolley dash. wink

Maybe they were annoyed that they were accidentally giving away free protein.

Think of the time you'd save not having to choose, put on and take off socks everyday. And let's not forget the hours it takes matching up socks after emptying the washing machine.

In fact, why hasn't anyone designed trousers with built-in socks?

They have, but as the poster above points out, they are only for people aged up to about 6 months, rather than people who are 6 feet tall..

Aldi tools are pretty good though, well priced, and generally have a 3-year warranty which I've used, and is also good.

I'm not sure. I already struggle finding trousers to fit my "Tall AND chubby" frame - most shops allow you to be one or the other, but not both. Having to then find them with the right sized socks as well..

also, I tend to wear trousers more than once before washing, but socks are changed daily.. i think this is where the plan falls down sadly.

I'm guessing stores must vary quite a bit as the Truro one is perfectly acceptable. Certainly no horror stories thus far anyway.

Product-wise, I've only been let down with one cheap sports top I bought. The cuffs started fraying the next week. I've not had any problems with anything else. Their stuff is at the budget end of the market, though. Bought some impact-resistant cycling glasses, for instance, for Nerf wars (clear lenses). Does the job fine.
