If he has a traditional valve amp that's not an option. A better idea might be to buy a modelling amp which, whilst not ultimately as good, allows you to practice with distorted lead sounds. They've come a long way.

When I was poor I lived in a semi detached house, the neighbour was an organist and was happy to play throughout the night, because he played well he couldnt understand why anyone would object. When I did complain he said it wasnt his fault it was because it was a Lowry organ and it had a reverberating speaker.

At the time I boxed in the heavyweight class, I leant on him a bit.

No it is not. If you have headphones plugged in. But if you are playing loudly through speakers then yes.

I was digging some footing holes at 8.30 this morning - by hand.
Then got the petrol saw out at 9.30, i would say 9am is fine.
10m is quite close for a neighbour though...

I have an idiot with a piano in my block. It's quite normal to hear him playing before 7am on a Sunday. Thank god that I'll be moving out in the not too distant future.

Yes, it's too early to play guitar at 9 am. Not as bad as the sound of gunfire recently though.....
