[ 4 extra wheels ? where to store them in my wee flat ? ] we don't have 6 month winters
like Canada or Norway.

However, my knees are playing up, a sure fire indication we are in for a long, cold winter, so
reliable tyres might come in very handy
My main reasoning was:

They were £400 with wheels included, and I don't wear out my other set.

The roads usually get more potholed during winter, so smaller wheels are advantageous.

We've had some good snow the past couple of years and I live in a small village.

And the main reason, I am driving to Austria for a week in November, so summers might be a little silly, I'm sure the Polizei wouldn't think it too clever of me either.

I'm really not doing a 'holier than yow' by using winters, I thought I'd try it. Most likely if it does snow badly I'll do what I do every year, and go for a slide around the lanes and then sit by the fire and eat lots of cheese. smile

IN. I had the adenoidal PH voice in my head as I left the house this morning:

"IT'S SIX DEGREES. WINTER TYRE TIME".

This year I've been foolish enough to buy some. Will I need them? Probably not. hehe

I've had them ever since Winter of 09/10 where I nearly got caught out badly with the kids (now young adults) in the car. The Wife's car also has a set. T/hey really are very good.

I'm still in mine though did switch to long 'jamas last night.

Silly me has entered a classic car run around Lincolnshire on Saturday. There are two fords along the route, will I need deep-water or slippy-ice tyres?

Cant wait to pretend I hate the snow and at first chance run outside with my shovel clearing the drive/road/street. Then sit back on my snow watching chair with a glass of fun.

Weather is a brilliant source for media reporting. We get a solid 2 days of reporting what's going to happen, followed by 2 more days of why it didn't.
