I was thinking about responding to this thread, but I'll do it later.

Getting on with my RS2000 'retirement' project. I started doing some welding in 2012 (it's only the strut tops, not the whole car FFS!!!). Been off the road since 1998 before my son was born and he's 24 now. biggrin

I've pretty much done my tax return, it's just waiting for me to decide how much to make my payment on account in January depending on whether my contract gets extended after Christmas or not.

That's basically the only thing I have to be smug about. I have an intersecting nest of procrastination going on. I need to ask the questions which will determine whether I can have a garage or not, but I also want to trade up two of my cars, which will essentially eat into the money for the theoretical garage, but one of the trades would make it quicker and easier for the theoretical garage to pay for itself by saving me money on storage, but one of the cars I would want to trade in has an annoying rough idle for which I am putting off reaming the fuel injector seat because I don't like the idea of depositing bits of metal into the cylinder, grease notwithstanding, and the other car I'd be trading in I really need to go and get out of storage to see if it needs anything doing to it, which I'm putting off because every time I've got it to the point of being ready to sell something has gone wrong with it and I don't need more stuff to do because I'm busy prevaricating about all these other things. In theory, knowing if I've got a job in January or not should help sort some of this out, but I'm not actually sure it will.

Also I need to put the bin out, but I'm warm and comfortable and outside is dark and cold.

I had successfully stopped thinking about my tax return until I read this. Suppose I had better get my finger out.

Whether to buy a DeWalt multi-tool
Whether to transfer money from Premium Bonds into my HL Active Savings account
Whether to join a golf club next year after many years of not bothering
Whether to buy a hybdrid inverter and some panels, and get my electrician to connect them to my consumer unit

Which bed to buy.
Which TV to buy.
Break the news to my wife I want to sell my current car and get something a "bit" more expensive.
