I think you need to stop drinking so much water, you only need a couple of litres a day including water appropriated from food.

Unless of course your somewhere really warm.

I had this same realisation not so long ago. Brought a plastic bottle to work, each day give it a wash out and just refill it. By my reckoning had it for 3, maybe 4 years.

How time flies.

Haha, thanks guys.

Just to confirm, I'm not a fattie, a soldier or a whale.

I never knew 6L was considered a lot? I mean, this is spread throught my waking day, not just 8hrs. I know I drink more than average - and yes, I do p*ss a lot - but I'm sure 6L is on the upper end of the normal scale?

If you drink too much water, eventually the kidneys will not be able to work fast enough to remove sufficient amounts from the body, so the blood becomes more dilute with low salt concentrations. If you drink too much water it lowers the concentration of salt in your blood so that it is lower than the concentration of salt in cells. The water then moves from the dilute blood to the cells and organs where there is less water. When the brain swells, it is inside a bony box so has nowhere to go," he says. The pressure increases in the skull and you may get a headache. As the brain is squeezed it compresses vital regions regulating functions such as breathing.

Thanks, Matt

I know drinking too much can be dangerous. I don't "force" it down as such. Just drink throught the day, and have never felt any negative effects. If I die, I'll let you all know.

I am pretty skinny, but not dangerously so or anything. I siphon the python every hour or two, at a guess?

Please don't tell me I'm going to die.

Wasn't there a story a couple of years ago about a boy who was playing football on a really hot day. He kept drinking water and died from drinking too much.

Drinking a lot and pissing a lot are symptoms of diabetes. You lost any weight recently too?

If so go see your doc.

To the people saying it's disgusting - I take it you throw your tupperware out every few months?

I know it's not ideal, but like I say, I flush and wash it daily to get rid of the super-aids. Anyway, I'm off to Tesco to shell out 19p for another bottle.

Drinking a lot and NOT pissing a lot are symptoms of something VERY wrong.

No, but then I don't just swill my tupperware with water every now and again. It gets put through the dishwasher.
