Was it the Manchester Zombie walk you did? If so, I'm annoyed that I missed it frown

Is that your shop in your profile? Might be purchasing some stuff if so smile

Has anyone thought of blood letting into a cup and using that? A bit... extreme but you can't argue about the colour/consistency!

Is fake blood makeup going to be a real pain with staining other people's clothes you might brush past, or does it dry?
It will stain!!! Thats the fun!

or swap corn oil for clear washing up liquid. Not as good, but will not stain!

I can go one better than a zombie (but not the Partridge one!) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

Go on, you know you want to. For better effect get your mates to dress as zombies.

I bought some with corn syrup which remained sticky for ages. The two tubes without dried up overnight and felt quite rough to the touch. I'm trying some Tesco stuff I bought in the Halloween section. It looks quite dark but we'll see how it looks when it dries.
Update: well, the Tesco one is taking ages to dry. Applied it when I posted this thread. Still damp in places and I've put it in front of the radiator. On the plus side, it's still a nice red. I picked up some stuff elsewhere and that's gone a bit pink albeit completely dry.

PM me if you want more Zombie make-up tips! its what i do!!!
Post some up!
Liquid Latex!!

This stuff is a must to create all types of zombie injuries.

As simple as painting on 4 or 5 layers of latex then grazing or ripping the latex to look like flesh falling from the bones! Any holes you make you need to make ‘raw’ with red facepaint.

Firstly you need to decide what type of Zombie you want to be. A fresh converted Zombie, or a risen from the dead Zombie. Have you just been bitten and converted so you are fresh looking with ‘battle’ injuries wearing your normal everyday clothes? Or a Zombie that’s risen from the day with rotted flesh wearing your burial clothes??

You can use things around the kitchen to create your look such as rice crispys stuck on to look like maggots or white plastic cut into a round circle stuck to the head to look like the skull exposed (stick down with latex, then ‘blend’ the edge with more latex before painting with makeup and blood).

You can dip tissue or cotton wool into the latex to create a build up on the skin, or even cover one eye with a cotton wool pad before covering in latex and makeup to look you eye has been ripped out.

If you aren’t wearing a prosthetic, you can do so much with latex. Once it’s on your skin, rip a way and be creative!!
where can i get some liquid latex from then?

Has to be the Alan Partridge style zombie surely!

You will need:

1 shower curtain
1 rubber bathmat
1 shower cap
1 flex off a mini kettle (for the tail)
white stuff for your face
tungsten tipped scrwes for fingernails (quite good for pointing with)

I done this a few years ago. Wasnt as good as his. A few people got it, but most blank faced me. Had to explain it all, so it lost its humor.

Don't forget the biscuits sellotaped to your face.

I went as a zombie a few years ago and nothing quite beats covering yourself in cheap talc and squashing raspberries into yourself, it gives a good colour and the texture is good too, not to mention that the ladies kept telling me I smelled really good.
