I think the greatest common factor you can get out of that is 3y^2, so 3y^2(x^2y-4x+6)

Cheers,

FT.

Get all the x's on one side then remove them by putting brackets around them and then divide by x.
Sorry there is only one side.

such as

I know this is only quite simple for some, just been a few years for me.

Here is one

That's not a quadratic though?
As I said I don't know what they are called when cubed.

Cubic. It's a "mixed" polynomial though (I think) as in ^2 and ^3

Mmmm, it's not a cubic either.
Perhaps this helps?
http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=3x^2*y^3-12*x...
Try the "alternate forms" section.

Not me. N.t even sure I believe those are words.
If you ever need advice on losing your virginity though, ill point you in the right direction.

Just because I am going back to school does not make me a born again virgin.

I am now surrounded by a large number of impressionable 18 year old girls at the university. Would you like pointers on the fact you had to make the comment usually means you have issues.

Are you having issues with women? Maybe a counsellor would help to overcome your issues? Or are you just trying to offer yourself to me?

So what's the answer then? My maths mind isn't working well today frown

The y^3 messes it up, if it was just a y^2 you could pull it out as a factor, then factorise the remaining quadratic frown

No, you mentioned a councillor before.
When I tried him he looked at me like I was insane and said at best he might be able to put in a good word about my planning permission, but couldn't help me with my women issues.

f(x) => (x - r1) (x - r2)

i assume you know how to find the roots r1, r2 .. will leave it as an exercise
