Two kittens or one
Discussion
Slightly off topic but what are kittens like when it comes to litter tray training?
Have been considering getting a kitten or two for a few months, but just not sure what's involved?
Do any of you kitten/cat owners work 8 hours a day, and leave them inside? How do you manage a full-time job and having cats/kittens?

Serios question but do cat siblings(male female), do the dirty^, or if we were to get the mother and her son, when the kitten got a bit older, would he try it with his mother?
^Have sex/reproduce
Yes they don't care about their relationship to each other. However plan the neutering properly it won't be a problem i.e. get mum spayed once kittens are 8 weeks old and will have no problems (then get him done at 5-6 months). if brother and sister get them both neutered at 5 months. They may still 'act it out' on each other but nothing can happen^Have sex/reproduce

Litter training is really easy. Just keep plonking them in the litter tray from time to time, and they will piss and st in it almost immediately.Have been considering getting a kitten or two for a few months, but just not sure what's involved?

Other than that, all you need to do is feed/water them correctly, make sure you handle and stroke them every day so they don't become aloof or feral, and don't let them go outside until they're about 3 months old and have been in your house for a few weeks.
When letting them out, scatter some of the stinky litter from the bottom of the litter tray in the garden, as this will help them find their way back.
They are totally fine to leave alone all day, although they may climb up and pull down the curtains, knock things off shelves, break things, scratch and rip things, tear up toilet rolls and spread them round the house, that sort of thing

Hopefully kittens mum will have been using a litter tray so they learn from that (which is one of the reasons why kittens should staqy with Mum til 8wks) However kittens instinct is usually to be clean so most will naturally use a litter tray, though sometimes they need guidance.Have been considering getting a kitten or two for a few months, but just not sure what's involved?

Re: time getting two kittenss if you can afford to will help reduce chance of loneliness/ boredom in kittens left alone. An adult cat may already be used to being on own so better if you just want one cat.

Most people will say get two - will keep each other company when you're out/at work etc.
However, we only got one - We had intended getting two but he was the last of the litter.
He doesn't seem to get bored when we're out provided we play with him on our return. He is very, very affectionate and cuddly and will happily spend plenty of time curled up on us.

In the past I've had one kitten/cat and they've been fine (though I was at college then so around a lot more than I am now) but this time I got a brother and sister.
They're adorable and are always getting up to mischeif together and I feel a bit better leaving them alone during the day knowing that they have each other for company. Even though Kurt bullies his sister at times she wouldn't be without him
