They're all going up now. Oxford street switch on this week, shopping centres all the way through November.
My local has been advertising its christmas meal menu since the end of August. They even had a little table with some decorations around it - IN SUMMER.This.. is what is wrong with Christmas. Perhaps I'd be more excited about it if the likes of Parks didn't start advertising their Christmas hampers in the middle of September.
I will tolerate a tree, a few days either side of Christmas day. But that's it, nothing else.
I don't mind Christmas, it's fine in December. But I am getting mightily sick of it here there and everywhere already as far as retail commercialism is concerned. Popped into B&Q for some sealant today, decorations up everywhere, and staff wearing Santa hats, carols on the tannoy FFS!
