I don’t think that’s the problem at all. The problem of you want/need to class it as such is that people under 40 generally don’t consider things to be cool/uncool
I certainly wouldn’t think that smoking and drinking are monikers of perceived cool yet many here seem to which is just odd (to me).
Agree with this and I’m not under 40. The problem also is that a lot of these so called “cool” people here are actually playing a character and / or creating a persona and that automatically is not cool because it is not real. A cool person does not need to be famous, well known or any of that. I certainly wouldn’t think that smoking and drinking are monikers of perceived cool yet many here seem to which is just odd (to me).
Oh an I am an 2x smoker, its a dirty, smelly habit that kills you and yet it forms part of some of the coolest photography of all time...vapes will never be cool.

Surprised nobody has mentioned that this is the car Chris Evans bought a few years back. Then again I'm 49. over the hill, and might have missed it.
Anyway, I don't get the whole celebrity thing at all, nor idolise actors etc, so here's 2 guys I'd label cool. They do their own thing, were very easy to speak to when I met them, and I'd quite happily have a pint or 6 with either. I imagine if Magnus walked into my local, he'd clear a space at the bar, so it's a win win.
As is the PH way obscure photos with no clue as to who they are have been posted a few times.Anyway, I don't get the whole celebrity thing at all, nor idolise actors etc, so here's 2 guys I'd label cool. I've worked most out but I give up with the scruffy tt with the Porsche.
Musicians can be cool if they stand for something more than their music.
I think Lenny Kravits has some good messages about being yourself. Below you'll read about how he's holed up in the Bahamas during Covid.

Anyone less cool than Brian Blessed is hard to imagine. I Remember him as Fancy Smith in Z Cars as a guide to how old I am.
I think Blessed is fantastic, but like Schmidt he isn't cool at all. They're both great entertainers, but both come across as nutters. What they're like to live with on a daily basis we'll never know, but if they're anything like they are on screen they must be a bloody nightmare.
He’s a larger than life figure, that’s for sure. Aside from his acting career he also runs an animal sanctuary, has attempted Everest three times without oxygen, climbed various other mountains, survived a plane crash in the Venezuelan jungle, and is the oldest person to have reached the North Pole on foot.
He’s also completed cosmonaut training and plans to go to space. Oh and he’s Grampy Rabbit on Peppa Pig, and is aged 84.
What do we think about this lady? To me she's cool.

Stayed in a job way too long, resulting in a broken succession plan and an increasingly irrelevant firm not reinventing itself for current times. If it was a business, you would close it. Not really cool in my opinion... but hey everyone gets a view!

Close. Simo Hayha. He preferred shooting Russians. Nicknamed 'White Death' which whilst cool back then, probably wouldn't catch on today.blingybongy said:

John Bridge.
I had never heard of him until I read his obituary.
Volunteered for Bomb disposal at the outbreak of WWII. Won two George Crosses and a George Medal.

Same with the soldier a few pages back who amputated his own fingers, brave definitely, foolhardy maybe but not cool.
