Excellent. The Urban Garden trifecta of Square, Poplar and Gate has been played. That opens up a free hit to any station with Park in the name. As it's still May the seasonal congestion embargo won't be in place yet so I'm taking us to Green Park.

After a short delay awaiting confirmation of the changes to some arcane regulations by the arrival of the Elizabeth line specifically the Enigma variations I was going to play East Finchley.

However I received a communication from Her Majesty’s Equerry, apparently Auntie Betty has been watching this game with interest, in fact reading the whole 100+ game is the real reason behind her missing some of the jubilee events.

So adding royal approval to the game she has decided on a bold move to break the monopoly whilst adding the Elizabeth line to the 1952 clarification and played Bond Street!!!!

All stand for her Majesty!

I hesitate to second guess Her Majesty, but she appears to have overlooked the fact that Bond Street is yet to open on the EL unless, of course, she is invoking the one-off Einstein Quantum Variation and is playing as if from 2023 or 2024. That move is, of course, not available to mere commoners.

It does have the delicious concomitant side effect of relocating Prince Charles to the Falkland Islands for a decade’s worth of moves.

Good spot, I've passed the message on and await a reply.

But a good game is a fast game so invoking alternating escalators lets go with Monument

Betty Swallocks can do no wrong.

She was only rejected from The Board of Rule Judges due to attending the interview straight after winning a three-pints-of-gin contest at Lincoln Inn which in my book only seeks to affirm her stamina, and calling the incumbent an inept onanist merely adds weight to her application.

Feltham? On a Sunday???

I must therefore invoke Trumpington’s variation, and head directly to Moorgate.

Thread derailed for over a year, thought the ticket office had been closed down.

(Still don't understand the rules BTW, neither here nor nor the radio version)

There are, and further variations are created at times. I chose to invoke Hugo's second strategem at this time:
