Door hinges? Agreed, those are very nicely made.
Nope we already have billet machined door hinges, These are for the windscreen, and allow the windscreen to be tilted down on the bonnet when you have the roof off your defender, something I’m almost guaranteed not to do with my defender as it has a full external roll cage.

I have 2 small 'cord' operated winches, capable of lifting about 250Kg (sufficient for my needs) and a winch block and tackle that just needs a rope - but I felt the need to buy this: a 20CWT (about 1 ton) chain winch lift.
20 CWT is exactly 1 ton. Or about a 1 tonne. biggrin

That is lovely though.

And as I predicted there is no way my lovely new windscreen hinges will fit with the roll cage cross member in place!

They do fit with the cross bar removed though!

She's pretty, I like.
I confess, for a girl from a pottery town I don't really have much of an appreciation for pots and the like. I suspect growing up around so much of it probably coloured my judgement. I do appreciate the beauty in some of it though and she is a beautiful piece. Who's she by? Looks a bit Lladro to my untrained eye.

Finally, after a few setbacks, Babu Frik number 2 is here.
The first arrived and his mouth didn't move as he should, so had to go back. It's taken a while but his replacement is here.
Because he's a toy rather than a prop replica he was a bit 'sterile', so he's had his plastic cowl replaced with fabric and some light weathering and oil splashes to his face. Next task is to 3D print some tools for him.
I'd still love the Sideshow Grogu to sit with him, but its £400 so for now I shall keep my lightly repainted toy one until I can persuade him indoors it's an investment biggrin

I can't believe he really says it, because I can't believe Disney would let it fly, but when he stomps across the table it really does sound like he shouts "I'm out mother ducker" and I can't unhear it. biggrin

Star Wars baby. I love the stupid phrases.

Groogu reminds me of my wife. Not looks obviously. But that pain in the arse helplessness that I can't resist. Plus the big eyes.

Its a Star Wars'y week..... Bargain this. Been looking at it for a while as I love droids and LOLA in Obi Wan was brilliant. It's normally around the £90 mark.

This arrived today:

I've been dithering about buying a Switch for ages - could never really justify it as it would essentially be just a Zelda machine, with ToTK coming out I was going to just pick up a second hand one to play it on. Then those bds at Nintendo released this and it was just too damn cool not to, it of man-maths and convincing the OH to chip in as my B'day present and I've got a £319 console to play one game, a game which isn't even out yet!

My Switch is a Zelda machine and I have zero regrets. You have a while to play breath of the wild now too! biggrin

If you want maximum frivolity, there's always glen/glenda from the "seed of chucky" film:
