Whose the most famous person you have touched
Discussion
Bernie Ecclestone, He was staying at the same hotel as us for the HugarianGP some years back. Shook hands with him and got him to sign a "Personal" autograph for my nephew. He asked who it was for, not me. Went up in my estimation despite what you hear of him. Eddie Jordan. Sat next to him on an Easyjet flight, Tw@t of the first water.
Ron Dennis (hooned around St Tropez Harbour with him in his v small powerboat, circa 1974/5)
Damon Hill (sat next to him for lunch at Silverstone). Also at our table were Blundell, Brundle and Perry McCarty - the white Stig.
Clarkson, May and Hammond (attended TG many years ago when they chatted with the attendant audience at tea break time)
Jeff Lynne of ELO (hung out at a post concert party in San Diego 1981)
Desmond Llewellyn, Q in James Bond up to 1999
Paula Yates (with Fifi Trixiebell on her shoulders. Stood next to me at a concert at Brixton in 1987. She was bloody gorgeous (Paula that is!)
Ronnie Fraser hung out with us for a two week holiday in S of F in 1975. He was with his 2 teenage girls, which suited me nicely thanks!
Take yer pick but I'm guessing most famous of that lot would be Clarkson (in terms of world wide notoriety). I enjoyed the Ron Dennis hoon most and the Ronnie Fraser girls next. No hanky panky just nice looking and willing to hang around with our gang. Damon Hill was underwhelming. He seemed very aloof.

I bumped into John Cooper in Brighton back in the '90s during the L2B Mini Run knocking him to the ground, he bounced straight back up again and said ''sorry'' despite it being my fault. Later the same day I was alongside him at some traffic lights exiting the town, he was in his white and black J reg'd Cooper and I was in my tatty '67 Mk1 850, I looked across and mouthed ''sorry' a bit sheepishly, he just smiled, waved and put his foot down as the lights turned to green. What a gent.

Helena Bonham Carter (I held her hand as she stepped from a car) and Brian (''He's not the Messiah, he's a very naught boy'') I used to live a few yards away from Graham Chapman and met him a couple of times.
Went for a hook around Brands with Tiff too. Absolute legend.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcbDdcN3bF0&t=...
This is jogging my memory. I met Jasper Conran when I installed a network in his London shop. Paula Yates came up the stairs from the fitting area in a robe with no makeup on. Utterly stunning woman.
Janice Long when I was a sound engineer, she was judging something or other at the Hammersmith Palais.
Black Lace (Agadoo) - shared a dressing room at the Palais too. Lovely blokes, had matching stripy boxers on.
BB King at Bailey's in Watford
Floella Benjamin at the Palais too. My sound booth was directly over the area they'd placed the judges table - I remember now, it was the London Disco Dance Championship in the 80s I think - so I had a private viewing of her cleavage all evening.
Den Hegarty, formerly of Darts and Tiswas, is in my band
Sally James at a wedding we played. Told her I'd had a massive crush on her when I was a teenager! She said thank you. Utterly gorgeous.
Billy Hartman (Emmerdale and the Oh Boy! reboot), came to a gig of ours as he's a mate of Den's
Sally Ann Matthews (Jenny Bradley from Corrie) is a mate of my ex-wife's. Our kids went to school together. It's also not her real name. Very nice person.
Bobby Hendricks from the Drifters. The Bobbettes ("Mr Lee"). Lewis Lymon (Frankie Lymon's brother, had his own career too) and Herman Santiago from the Teenagers. Lots more from that era too. Did I mention DJ Fontana (Elvis' drummer) and all of Bill Haley's Comets?
Not trying to be "elevenerife", but it's nice to have my memory work again! Hope you don't mind.

The drummer in this lot was in one of my bands. It's very Z list, but I enjoyed the tales from his fifteen minutes of fame.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtAunxgEP_k

There is no 'elevenerife' in that, so no need to apologise. I'd give that a poor 2.5 out of 10 at best. A very poor selection, apart from the chap from Darts. Loved them.Janice Long when I was a sound engineer, she was judging something or other at the Hammersmith Palais.

My dad worked at Broadmoor and when I was young at the kids Christmas party Jimmy Savile would come out dressed as Father Christmas and we would cue up to sit on his lap and get a present from him.
My dad had Sutcliffe his insulin infection, was handcuffed to Robert Knapper for a visit to the Old Bailey.

Train crash there 38911, and you were doing so well until that last line.
It was a bit like saying, “I had ordered Lobster Newburg, and the sommelier was searching for a Grand Vintage Moët and Chandon, I sighed with satisfaction at the thought.”
Then the sommelier returned, downcast, they were fresh out of Moët and Chandon.
Mmmmmmm I mused, there’s always a cheese and pickle sandwich, and a mug of tea.
Christine is lovely - but Myleene is hardly a talentless buffoon is she.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtKPMo-kDdsIt was a bit like saying, “I had ordered Lobster Newburg, and the sommelier was searching for a Grand Vintage Moët and Chandon, I sighed with satisfaction at the thought.”

And let's face it, most blokes would be all over her like a dog with a bag of hot chips given half the chance.
Melinda Messenger. Not in that way unfortunately.
Various motorsport types at GFoS.
Not famous in the usual sense, but shook hands with the crew of the last Discovery shuttle crew when I met them at a talk they gave to a client of mine (the most interesting and educational day of my working life by a country mile - but then I am just an IT geek).
