So he may indeed be in his 70’s at least. As for the rest... smile

Ratty I was sat not to far from you in the Mallyan Spout Hotel.if that was your car outside.
It would be interesting if old Ratty confirmed that - a quick Google doesn't allow identification of individual parking space and signage. But what it does show is straight, wide, good visibility roads with no apparent stopping restrictions.

In case it is the same incident - we need to know : was it actually a Porsche (and if so, what model and did it have a crappy, good or nondescript number plate), full descriptions of occupants - age of driver and hair colour of passenger are particularly important, body language of all participants throughout the drama (even better of course if you were in earshot), any recollections of confrontations inside the Hotel, reactions of the innocent couple when they returned to their car to find the wet wipes on their windscreen - oh, and was the culprit hiding behind one of those walls checking that a lesson really had been taught and understood (how contrite was the old lady, did she seem to reflect that perhaps convertible Porsche drivers did or did not confirm to stereotype) ?

Perhaps show your wife this post too, it might be the impetus she needs to escape your sycophantic clutches.
Are you quite sure that you are using the word 'sycophantic', correctly?

I'm a bit confused here, is the OP suggesting that an elderly pair parked in the car park at Robin Hoods Bay and then sticked it down to the village by way of that crappy pavement?
They must breed 'em hardy in Yorkshire.
I walked down (and back up) that hill once, wouldn't go back and do it again with my knees in the state they are in.
There is a shed load of space in the car park there, no one could have needed to bung up a disabled bay.

Anyone seen the custard?

No, sorry, it's too late. It all took so long to resolve the old people have passed on.

Looks like the seagull made a great choice on who to st on though.
Nope, it was one seat out. Those Robin Hoods Bay seagulls are amateurs, now Whitby seagulls, complete with their Dambusters style bomb sights, they can hit a handbag through an open window. Class act Whitby seagulls, it's all the chips fried in dripping that provide the munitions.

Don't need to give any abuse to the OP, maybe donate him a JCB to fill in the hole he's dug.

Two main car parks in Robin hoods bay I'm guessing he was parked at the one near the bay hotel.

This thread is classic PH laugh

If the old biddy had any manners she would have waited for the OP to finish cleaning crap from his wife and move his car, especially considering he had explained the situation to her. Instead she behaves just like 90% of the posters here and rips into someone else with a combination of self-entitlement , jealousy and self-righteous "anger" because she can't instantly get her own way or is angry at everyone else because her own life hasn't turned out as well as his apparently has.

This said, there's still no reason for any sort of vigilante revenge.

So where did the wet-wipes end up?
This is a very valid point. My mother has a blue badge but her first reaction would have been to offer the lady some extra wipes to help. It wouldn’t have crossed her mind that waiting a couple of minutes while someone had a bit of a clean up was something to be upset or rude over. But then benefits people have a benefits sense of entitlement.

Conversely, the way the OP seems to have the need to mention that he has a Porsche and the other party have a Kia rings the ‘knobend’ alarm bell. It’s the clear mark of some jumped up schmuck and suggests to me that the conversation almost certainly didn’t go down as the post describes.

But then the offensive responses from other posters and their sad little narrow views leaves much to be desired. Far too many angry people desperately seeking any possible outlet for their self loathing these days.

I'm curious, but what exactly is the "Lesson" that you taught her?

The thread subject suggests something punitive that would have inconvenienced the old lady or caused her distress or annoyance, thus teaching her a lesson and encouraging her to modify her behaviour in future .... yet the explanation offered by the OP (after it became clear that the majority think he's a bit of a clunge) suggests nothing more than placing the wet wipes neatly on her windscreen.

So what is the lesson that you taught her?

And that sums it up. I just thought my story would add a bit of humour to what could have been a dull weekend ... obviously I was wrong, but it's been interesting reading the responses, especially from those who immediately jump to incorrect conclusions. I wish the old lady and her driver no harm, my wife has now calmed down and had her hair done, the Porsche came out of it OK, I've enjoyed reading the responses on PH, so all is well in my life. Many thanks for listening everyone.
May have missed it, but where was the humour in your original post ?
The humorous part is in the above post - "my wife has now calmed down" . FFS its a bit of seagull **it, she seems a bit too precious, first world problems and that.

Why did leaving the wet wipes on their car even come into your mind, bizarre action from a mature 72 year old.

Edited to add - maybe change your usnername to GRANATTACK, you have already changed from ATTAKZ.

Is leaving wet wipes on the car the 2018 equivalent of hammering frozen sausages in the lawn?

Well it’s less passive aggressive and more passive apathetic tbh ... although dominating the windscreen could technically apply I suppose lol

Crikey - and I felt guilty this weekend as my other half had to move her car from a 'normal' into a disabled space so I could get in (am on crutches and someone had parked a little close to us while we were in the shop). Would never contemplate parking in one for this, how odd.
