To all you smokers...

For consuming nicotine it's as good as a cigarette. It's not just like a cigarette, occasionally I do still want a real one, and when I drink I do still smoke real ones.
It cuts out the cigarettes that I don't enjoy, which realistically was 99% of them.
The other thing I like about them is that it gives you something to fidget with when you would normally smoke. The hard part for me is not really the nicotine but the habit. For nearly 20 years, every cup of coffee, every beer, the end of every meal, every time I leave an office or a meeting etc etc has been cigarette time. A puff of this thing and the moment passes.
Try one. The oneI bought was about 30GBP and if you're buying cigarettes in the UK then that's about 5 packets now(?) so there isn't much to lose!
What make is yours? It cuts out the cigarettes that I don't enjoy, which realistically was 99% of them.

Like me roll ups. Golden Virginia with blue papers.
I sometimes buy straights, usually Marlboro Gold for the taste/difference but i often find I end up chaining them, especially when drunk, and i start to feel a bit ill
After working in a newsagents for about 2 years, I realised how many people take very little pride in what they smoke. You get the few older boys who insist on Rothmans or Dunhill or Pete Stuyvesent but most people are happy with L&B or Royals or something.
I also know cigarette stands are mostly distributed by imperial tobacco, and therefore, have a strict facing policy hence why L&B are always in the middle, and probably the best selling cigarettes.
I've also started to cut down. I used to smoke through the week at work, and a fair bit in the evening, but I only have one smoke at work now on a friday afternoon, and I find rolling some up and taking them with me helps the cutting down.
Funny people saying smokers are so unfit. I can go do a 40 mile bike ride without much hassle. Being a mechanic keeps me pretty active and fit aswell.

Pretty crappy IMO.
I smoked reds for 10 years, moved down to lights about 18 months ago.
I feel much better for it but i'm still on 20+ a day.
If you like lights, then try the Brightleaf Silvers, they are the only thing i enjoy smoking when not smoking lights!! although they are not sold everywhere for some reason...I smoked reds for 10 years, moved down to lights about 18 months ago.

My Father in Law worked for Rothmans, some of the best quality tobacco you can buy in a ready made.
I always thought they tasted rougher than almost anything when I smoked, except for Royals, which were truly fibre-glass in a tube. My favourites were always yellow pack Camels. Since giving up, I really dislike the smell of any cigarette smoke, but I could happily sit for hours sniffing unlit camels!

As someone whose been smoking Marlboro Reds for more years than I care to admit to, I've just swapped to Winston Reds, as my local baccy & booze emporium stocks the price marked Winstons. £4.79 for Winston as opposed to £6.75 for Marlboro Reds.
The smoke is actually rather good as well, I prefer them to Marlboro Brighleaf as well.
Just as a thought, how about a PH baccy run to Belgium?

I feel like a drug dealer crashing The Priory, but here goes; does anyone want to buy a carton of B&H gold? I don't smoke, but dutyfree fags are the only perk left to the british seafarer so it seemed rude not to, but my usual addict is trying(successfully ATM) to give up. I'd ebay it, but you're not allowed.

Could you Ebay a padded envelope and say that you'll include a carton of B&H to demonstrate how the envelope could be used by the buyer?dpbird90 said:
Quitting today after 4 years, can't afford any other method than cold turkey, which m hoping will work as there have been days I have gone without one.
Well done, keep at it. Fours years is long enough to smoke, and you hopefully won't have done too much damage to your body. I've quit for just over three weeks, it gets easier. Go and join the quit smoking thread in the health forum.sday12 said:

Just thought I'd resurrect this. Been a bit skint so been rolling up with Cutters Choice (with menthol filters The only way I can smoke roll ups unless I'm pissed!) and I must say, I'm very pleasantly surprised! Anybody else tried it? It's new in the newsagent on my parade
It's been about for a while. Cheap as chips.
