Woke up to a lovely frosty morning. Temperature quite quickly and we had a pleasant sunny morning but guess what, it's just started pissing down again frown

Can’t remember the last time it didn’t rain.
And overnight a flood warning with heavy rain due.

Santa Pod Raceway has postponed the Easter Event/ Season opener "Festival of Power" to end of April,
the soil near Milton Keynes is so saturated with water that the campgrounds are not accessible.
Bugger, hope spring comes sometimes, with less rain.

Big decisions to make.
Local events without hardstanding carparks affected too.

When do we think the official close of this thread will happen?

It must be close - blue skies, gorgeous sun yesterday, and today’s forecast looks perfect for a bike ride and gardening. If you think I’m being smug, it’s a Scottish prerogative : March and April are basically our summer and it’s downhill after that !

Hope you made the most of it. Back to "normal" here in Kent after a good day yesterday.

We like to get away in the RV once a month from spring to autumn but unless I find sites with hardstanding pitches that's a complete no-no at present, we'd sink.

I’m keeping count.

Where I live (Surrey) there have been 2 days so far this year where it hasn’t rained.

Two.

GRRC could be fun in a couple of weeks. frown

Indeed. Got a nice walk out of it but afternoon was rubbish.

And this morning rain again!

Good stats, thank you! Not far off then smile I didn’t know there was a summer thread. Is it the same as the winter one with just less mentions of snow ie our amount of moaning about the rain stays the same?

Summer thread is basically the winter thread.

Difference is instead of Snow disappointment its Thunderstorm disappointment.

The rules are the summer thread is opened by Puggit when 20C or above is recorded somewhere in the UK (keeping it to Puggit makes it much easier to find said quoted stats)

The summer thread generally has people in two camps, people complaining they don't like the warmth, and the opposite to the winter thread where the south has better weather than the north...

Unless we get rebels like Gweeds who started this thread. I still haven’t recovered from that.

Well if we're moving to the Summer timetable, I'll get one more in. (And it's just down the road from Kinlochewe).

99% cloud this morning. The 1% gave us this:

The tip hasn't. As I discovered when I'd lost track of time and turned up after 4 today. On the plus side I'd been outside in a t-shirt all afternoon.
