Sorry what do you mean by this? I thought it was an interesting topic?
It means that you are a new user on the forum and your first post is recommending a specific product in a part of the forum that is not normally where people will post their first posts.
Promoting products if you are affiliated with them is against the rules.

So...

After 14 months of vaping I've decided to take the plunge and get away from the ego type batteries into the big time!

Innokin VTR ordered with a charger, a couple of spare batteries and some new juice.

Wish me luck! It was a hard choice spending £100 on it - when I've been generally satisfied with the ego until now, but I wanted to see just how good it can be. If it is the same as the difference between garage-purchased ste and ego/vision v3, then I'll be a happy chappy!

Also - if anyone is interested in a coffee flavour, Grizwalds caramel cappuccino is bloody wonderful.

Menguin, I'll be really interested in your opinions of the VTR.

Along with the petrol head title, there seems to be some positives and some negatives compared to the MVP:

Positives (that I can immediately see):

Smaller form factor
Replaceable batteries
Updated iclear30 atomiser
Improved button/screen placement

Negatives:
Replaceable batteries/no voltmeter
Potential restrictions on atomiser choice
Lost passthrough /current output?
Increased cost

Will be interesting to see how it stacks up.

376 days since I bought a cigarette smile

I used disposables for 6 months then went to a kanger tank. I'm thinking of upgrading to

Looks reasonable value?

For the same cost (actually a bit less once you've added batteries and charger), I'd go for a MVP v2.

Variable wattage, massive battery life, a brilliant atomiser (and you can use your kanger) plus the ability to charge your phone in an emergency.

Was considering that too, was worried about only having one battery and I assume once the battery stops holding a charge the whole unit is useless?

The Innokin VTR has a removeable battery:

Certainly looks nice but only takes an 18350 battery. For ten quid more I would get these (takes 18350 or 18500 or 18650 battery):

I've found having one battery isn't a problem when it's as high capacity as it is, and you can tell when to charge due to the voltmeter.

Agree that once the battery dies completely it's time for a new replacement, but I'm OK with that, should get at least 18 month to 2 years out of it...

I'm not a smoker, but just had a new notice come through email.

Among other stuff, there was a bit at the end that stated that vapour ciggaretts are to be treated as regular ones.

I.e go outside in the wind/rain. Lots of people kicking off.

Its a big faceles corporation I'm working for so maybe others will be following this example?

Trying to ban them in pubs and restaurants too.

Most companies have banned them and any business can set their own rules on what is and isn't acceptable eg. Work attire in the office or dress code in a pub. Not all have the same rules and it is their choice currently.

It's a great example of short sighted decision making in larger organisations.

My previous employer, RBS, didn't have a policy at the time about ecigs, so I used to clear it with the Operational Head of the office I was working at. At that level, it was a straightforward - it doesn't hurt anyone, and I get more working time out of you, so crack on and send any professional offendeds to me to ridicule.

Same at my local non chain pub. Doing a roaring trade.

Also SwissAir, BA, Fly be and EasyJet.

Compare with current firm. Affirmed smoking hater as CE, and a while ago an email came out stating that they may set off fire alarms so can't be used in the office. Everyone saw through this, including non smokers/users.

Last week I was in an emergency all day meeting with my Director. Just me and him in a big room trying to sort some problems out. Told hi I was popping downstairs for a vape, and he told me to stop being daft, and carry the fk on. Followed up with 'only when I'm around though, and not in the open plan office'...

Weatherspoons et al are being fktards, and will lose business to more pragmatic, open minded business owners...

Is it short sighted though? We don't know what the long term effects are but even if they are proven to be totally safe. There will still be someone who sues in today's litigious society. Ban them and avoid the hassle of a lawsuit is a good move IMO along with avoiding the hassle if someone does successfully sue.

Forgot to add. I'm a reformed smoker, committed vaper and I've banned them in all my offices.

That sounds like a very uptight office there. If they are found 100% harmless, what are they going to sue you for?

It's weird that they are banning them as they have the appearance of something that is banned, and for no other reason than that really.

Quite petty-minded I think. Fortunately I have my own office, so free to do what I want.

What if they're found not to be 100% safe? What if someone successfully sues? What if, what if. Nobody knows so why risk it? After all cigarettes were cool and just made you look tough and grown up and had no side effects.
