Nearly spot on prediction for Worcestershire, 30 flakes rather than 3.

Snow occasionally all day here in the Purbecks. Bit frosty this morning too, wife fleeced her sweet peas in the pyjamas last night. hehe

Sweet peas outside is a bold move this time of year in any year!

I've had to cover the peach and plum, I was on course for a good plum crop this year and if this ruins that I'll be SO MAD.

She's doing really well! Normally by this stage we've got 3ft tomato plants being moved around between house/outside/greenhouse depending on the weather and time of day! She's so desperate to get things going. biggrin

Multiple snow and hail flurries in north Essex today.

Shame it's come so late in the season but it was nice to watch.

Let's be clear, there is no East Berks, only in Colin's imaginatio (well, he didn't want to admit he lived in Slough...).
Who would want to admit that! laugh
Me, still think of it as my hometown, although I'd not visited for about twenty years despite living quite close. Lived in Maidenhead out towards Cookham for 22 years and am now up in North East Derbyshire, close to Chesterfield.

Talking of which....

Chesterfield'ish -

Many snow showers today, some settled then melted, some melted straight away and some didn't even seem to touch the ground. Considerably more snow than East Berks / Maidenhead / Cookham smile

15mins of snow flurry twice this afternoon in central Brizzle. More than we've seen all 'winter'

Odd, given it was cool but still above around 6-7degC all afternoon!

Woken up in north Essex to a tiny layer of snow settled on rooftops and car windscreens over night. Apparantly it was cold enough settle but looks like the ground was too wet.

It really isn't! Frosty and a smattering of snow on the car this morning. And the kids' bus was late so they're really happy. hehe

I feel somehow responsible. I took the winter tyres off one of the cars yesterday.

I literally just realised that and came on to delete my post before anyone saw. Too late.

A stall holder at the market here in Thaxted comes over from Colchester which had similar weather to here but said she drove through heavy snow falls around Braintree earlier but as you say the roads were pretty dry.
