Anyone got a Fitbit Charge HR?
Any good?
Well I know it's probably not that accurate, but, well erm... is it any good?
My wife got one as her friend did. They're OK but the figures they give are nonsense. The sleep tracker is pretty cool so she went from wearing it all day for about 2 weeks, then just at night - 2 more weeks, now it is languishing in a drawer never to be used again. Needs charging a lot too Overall - poor 3/10. Garmin do a small tracker which seems better and the battery lasts 6 months + Not sure if it's HR though.Any good?

Who hates herons? I can understand having no particular feelings for or against herons
You have to drive through a ford on the way to her house and there is often a heron fishing in it. She generally hates birds and a heron is a bloody big bird. Has to roll up the windows every time she drives through. As you can tell, I don't take the piss much.Amusingly she has just started a new job in Heron Tower.

I've just returned from a trip to Florida and initially I was half-tempted to purchase an Apple Watch when I was over there but having read the reviews decided against it. I was browsing this thread and it gave me the inspiration to buy one of these -
I absolutely love it! My dad worked abroad when I was young and always used to bring us gifts when he came back home; I remember spending a lot of time marvelling at in class, and spending hours playing with the stopwatch to see if I could get it to stop on .00, as well as using the light under the bed covers.
Certainly cheaper than an Apple Watch and has probably given me more fun.
Excellent, who'd have known my initial post would inspire. I thought I'd be laughed off the thread because it wasn't a Breitling or Rolex.I absolutely love it! Love it.
I had a Nike Fuel Band but wanted a slim heart rate monitor.
I really like it so far. I think some of the numbers are inaccurate but the overall picture seems fair.
The HR function seems to do it's thing but the numbers that come up when I'm working out seem too low (but the recap on the app looks more believable), I like the logging of everything.
The charge is fine - i just slip it onto charge while I'm getting ready in the morning and it's back to full charge.
Most annoying thing is that you can't swim in it.
All in all I'd strongly recommend it.

Had one a few months and would strongly recommend it. I do a lot of walking and have found it to be pretty accurate on miles walked. Linked in with something like the FitSquad app and it has certainly motivated me to walk more each day. I've also found the battery lasts a week without charge and constantly wearing it, which I can't complain about. Any good?

My wife and I both have one and really like them. OK they are by no means 100% accurate but on my 3 mile run it is always within a tenth or so.Any good?

With my Garmin Gps it's 3.15 miles with the fitbit Hr it's never been less than 3 or more that 3.3.
The heart rate is OK but at rest reads a little high and at full tilt it reads my old ticker slightly lower than the Garmin. But used over a period of months it gives a good overall picture.
Does it serve any real purpose, no. Does it motivate me to do more, Yes so worth every penny.
