We have 2 full boxes of tits in the garden, helping to keep the greenfly population under control!

I've never been that close to the needles, are they safe?

The furthest one is Old Harry's rocks with some stacks on the way from Swanage. FWIW I think they're safe but I'm still a bit in the don't know what I don't know camp. thumbup

Liam Dutton's latest thought's on upcoming warm spell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=si-UQEuII_k&fe...

Note - more humid, which means more chance of thunder!

Well, this is odd. I've woken up in Liverpool to a perfectly blue sky...

And that's because after yeserday's blip, it's uphill from here. High pressure takes charge and the temps go up.

There will be waxing and waning, but generally very pleasant and not too hot.

It's essentially been wonderful here in NL for the last 3 weeks. Just the odd off day here and there. 20-30c, clear skies, and about 15c at night.

Some decent storms moved through yesterday... Just up the road in Moenchengladbach, this happened:

That's quite a beast redface

I know the Austrian Alps has received some snow this week - so I'm going to guess that maybe Germany saw similar conditions to the American Plains which allowed for tornado formation (cold air rolls down from the mountains and meets the warm air).

Have had shorts on every day for the past week now. Yesterday was a bit chilly but I am not giving in just yet!

Great picture. A truly Mediterranean feel at that point of the coast in good weather.

Hoping to be collecting my new (to me) boat from the south west this weekend and bringing it back home, so will be passing that lot on the way. Forecast is 1-3max so it should be a millpond all the way home - give or take the odd tidal race at a few points.

Cracking week of sunshine next week. Might be a minor blip early in the week, but a quick return to sun and warmth after.

What have you got? Mine's only an inflatable canoe.

And a little bit heavier too, so 300 hp will see it struggle to just under 40... with a clean bottom and at that speed not much more than 1 to the gallon, maybe 2 mpg on an economical cruise at around 24. Still, at least it isn’t in the major league where they talk multiple gallons to the mile.

I have about 80 miles to get it home at the weekend... £1.40 a litre, 4.5 litres to the gallon... so about £300 quid in fuel yikes ...if we can complete the details for the transaction. Yes your boat really has its appeal wink

I have always felt a little nervous in canoe. I only tried once in the days when I was a poor swimmer but didn’t seem to get the skill or confidence not to capsize it even when just getting in! Would like to be able to use one, they seem really good fun, better than a tender to get up the beach. I may have to have a go again one day.

Keep safe and enjoy the weather and water.
